Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? To make the stay even better for dog owners an outside tap for washing muddy dogs would be brilliant. Room was cold on arrival, putting heating on a while before check in during winter would be lovely. Appreciate an old building takes time to warm up.al

“Lovely hotel with the most welcoming staff who go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Best choice to eat there as food was amazing freshly cooked with plenty to choose from.”

“The hotel worked well for us in transit from the north of England however it is such a pity that it is a bit run down. The staff are friendly and the evening meal was really good however the breakfast was not cooked to the same standard and with poor coffee was a disappointment. The dog rooms are away from the main hotel which was fine however were not particularly well maintained. Overall it was fine, just a pity that it was a bit run down. I expected a bit more for the money.”

“We cannot fault the staff or food. Stunning. But, unfortunately the room was more 2* than 4*. Mouldy shower unit, water damaged celling, torn curtains and falling plinths. It really was far below what we had expected.”

“This hotel needs a cozy public room for reading or quiet conversation, preferably with a fireplace for chilly evenings, where dogs are allowed. It has a small room called The Library, but for humans only. Sections of the dining room and the bar was available for dogs, but our room was unsuitable for evening relaxation. As is often the case when booking through a third party (PetsPyjamas) we were assigned the smallest double room of the hotel. The staff was very good and friendly, the dinners were excellent (though the wine list was lacking), but the breakfast was mediocre. I suspect the scrambled eggs were from egg powder and all cereals were processed, with no natural muesli or granola. Overall, we prefer small family-run B&Bs rather than large venues like Ringwood which specializes in weddings and large events.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? It was expensive and the room I was given didn’t take account of my mobility issues which I discussed with the receptionist on arrival

“The hotel is glorious with fantastic gardens. The room was large with a sitting area, smart tv, large comfortable bed and walk in shower. It was warm and cosy as it was rather chilly the weekend I was there. The food was really delicious and staff were helpful and courteous. Cons: shower cubicle was dirty and the door didn’t close properly, the toilet flush was coming off the wall and there was no internal telephone. The room was up 15 very steep stairs which made getting my case and dog up and down very tricky and didn’t feel safe.”

“Was a nice hotel, food was lovely. We did upgrade to a suite at an extra cost to us, We did feel it was very worn and needed some TLC shower screen dirty mold on it toilet holder hanging off wall. Storage heater broken (did provided an elertic one) very busy road outside our window !!!! bed was comfy and was fairly clean could have been better. And would have been nice to have a fridge instead of a trouser press.”
