Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Very well organised through Pets Pyjamas. Means your dog goes free if you book with them.
Very inviting & friendly staff, rooms are not particularly spacious especially if you have a dog but very nice all the same. Good shower, big bathroom. Breakfast and dinner very good. Hotel is in a superb location for walking and nice and quiet location. We will definitely visit again.

Our room was beautiful and full of character. The staff were all lovely and looked after us well. Our dog Murphy had a full sausage for breakfast each day which he loved. The food was freshly cooked and plentiful and the dining room was buzzy and informal with loads of doggie customers.

Beautiful setting , very easy for dog walking and staff are excellent especially since there are not many of them . Although I had a downstairs room it was a bit cramped and bed was hard (personal preference) the worst problem I had was very little sleep due to the green light that was unnoticeable during the day was very bright in the dark... if you go to the lifeboat take blackout eye protection

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? You will definitely not die of hunger or thirst at this venue!
Arrived on 18th July (!!) for 4 nights dinner, bread and breakfast. Two rooms, one family friend and one giant chihuahua. One room had some stand-up fans, which had little effect on the high temperatures, but our room had a plug-in a/c unit which worked well. Our room had no view to speak of, which we knew on booking. Rooms were of adequate size, good bathroom and shower (very powerful !), and a very comfortable bed. All staff made us very welcome throughout our stay. Staffing levels were low, and cheerful multi-tasking with a smile maintained services for 99% of the time. Breakfasts were amazing, as were all meals. Our chihuahua, Blu, enjoyed being free to go anywhere in the Inn (except the kitchens ofcourse), and received more than his fair share of fuss and attention from other canines, their owners and staff. We would definitely stay there again, probably not in the hottest season though.

Superb three night stay last week. Lifeboat by name, Lifeboat by nature. The staff throw themselves into rescuing their visitors from life's stormy seas. The Lifeboat Inn is a haven of comfortable, clean accommodation. The food is scrum diddly dum. The bar area is welcoming and there are plenty of nooks in which to relax in armchairs and do the crossword. Our dogs were well catered for and there are several walks from the doorstep for early morning, and late evening dog walks.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Don’t stay in William West room with your dog. The Inn needs more staff and customer relation training. The use of text when your room is ready would be useful. They may like to think about guests signing a chitty when putting things on the room bill
We arrived a couple of hours before check in and were told in no uncertain terms that check in was 3pm with no friendly greeting or saying they would advise us when it was ready. Unfortunately our room, William West, was far too small and totally unsuitable for 2 adults and a Golden Retriever who was unable to turn around when walking around the bed. It was also so very hot despite the weather, which was generally no more than 18 degrees C outside. Ochre was panting all the time despite the open windows and fan. The room was on the first floor and poor Ochre, with hip dysphasia, struggled and at times refused to use them. The bed was comfy and the large bathroom was lovely with a rain shower and bath. Breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choice and my husband enjoyed his evening meal of gammon although my Green Thai curry was nothing special. Staff appeared stressed and very busy and the waitress made us very aware of her distress., trying to juggle waitressing and reception during breakfast. Our bill at check out was wrong with someone else’s dinner and drinks put on it. We were not asked to sign any chittys for putting anything on the room. The bill was soon sorted but although asked if I would leave a gratuity on the keypad I declined. I was not asked if I’d enjoyed my stay.
