Modern up to date room if a little small but very clean . Bit of a walk to Breakfast at the lifeboat inn but our dog and ourselves appreciated the exercise. Beautiful area and very tranquil.

So happy with our choice and pleased we weren’t at the main hub (the lifeboat Inn) because it felt more like the relaxed nature of self catering, but still having the conveniences like breakfast and freebie snacks. It’s not just dog friendly, but accommodating to your dogs. We stayed in the Aspen and would definitely recommend (nb there were stairs). You are right in the thick of the North Norfolk Coast. Although it seemed under/short staffed everyone was very friendly and accommodating, even making us a packed breakfast on the day we weren’t able to make it. Really happy we found here, honestly our best holiday yet!

As The Lifeboat was full (good sign), we stayed 3 nights 5min down the road at Thornham Rooms at the Chequers, taking breakfast each morning at The Lifeboat. Chequers accommodation and Lifeboat breakfasts were both 5star, we were very impressed. Would have given 5 star overall, but evening meal at The Lifeboat was slightly disappointing. PS All very dog friendly (says Archie)

The room was lovely, and the doggy treats went down really well. Eating at the Lifeboat was great - but we knew it would as we have been there before. The staff are so friendly and helpful so we dined in the evening as well as breakfast setting us up for the day and the doggy breakfast went down well too. Love the guests too as they are all well aware of the dog friendly situation and the affection shown to our dogs was brilliant, rather than being frowned on. I would definitely recommend

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? We were not informed that where we were staying was in a different place to where we were eating all meals, to be honest the information regarding our stay and what was included i.e the ÂŁ30 meal limit. This was explained by the head waiter at the lifeboa
Our room was lovely, very spacious and clean and all the little things thought of including a present for each of us. However it did get a bit noisy in the evenings as we were above the lounge area, so until the people who were occupying this area went to bed we were not able to sleep also our dog kept barking because she could hear the noise downstairs.

Sadly the Chequers Inn has been closed, meals are served in the Lifeboat Inn, over one mile away, which for us as elderly disabled people we had to drive, which of course meant the driver could not have a drink. The room was adequate but very small and needs updating. Needless to say we were not happy.

We had a lovely stay at The Chequers Inn, the room was large and perfect for our big dog. He got a warm welcome and enjoyed a sausage every morning! We can't recommend The Chequers Inn enough.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at The Chequers Inn, and the hospitality of the staff and quality of food and service was faultless. I would like to thank Stephanie for her friendly and kind service which was a refreshing change to the anonymous service we have had at other venues.
