“The wekend before Christmas we treated ourselves to a stay at Cliveden. We asked if it would be possible to book the room we had on our previous visist - The Chinese Room - which to our delight was fulfilled. Kit felt as much at home as we did and he was very pleased to find a gift box containing a multitude of treats on arrival. The food delicious as always, both in the Stables and the Main Restaurant, and we had many walks around the grounds. The festive atmosphere was infectious and the decorations insde and out were superb. Thanks you for a lovely time - again!”

“The hotel offered outstanding service, with friendly and attentive staff who made every effort to ensure a comfortable stay. The suite was immaculate, and the food was delicious, featuring a variety of fresh and flavourful options. The less positive are the main grounds being restricted to dogs off lead and the fact you have to go outside to access the Astor Grill.”

“We all had an amazing weekend away . The staff at the hotel were all very friendly & Bertie’s enjoyed all the fuss and attention . There is literally acres to walk in (lots of off lead areas for the dogs ) . We took Berts & Orchid in both the guest lounge and Astor Grill where we were all made very welcome . It was great to be able to stay such a prestige hotel with the dogs .”

“We stayed for 2 nights with our blind cocker spaniel, Lola. The room was stunning, the bed linen and king size bed so comfortable. Bathroom enormous! We had afternoon tea and ate is both dining rooms, the food and service was brilliant. The staff are amazing - so friendly and helpful. The grounds are immense and beautiful. Wonderful experience!”

“Staying for my birthday recently, I could not have asked for more. The staff were fantastic and looked after us exceptionally well. My dog was welcomed as much as I was. To step into your room is to step back in history, not only with the incredible backstory that the building has, but the furnishings and decor. Not to mention the privilege of swimming in 'that' pool. Extensive grounds to walk the dog and enjoy the ambience of the Thames, and great facilities to relax in afterwards. Yes it is expensive but it was a wonderful luxury and I hope to come back again one day.”

“Staff make the difference here. From the moment we got here, our dog was spoilt by the staff. Our dog had the grandest of times and as we were there for my sisters 60th birthday, it was really lovely how our dog was welcomed everywhere we went in the hotel. The grounds were great and had great walks in and around the estate as well as by the river. We were told that Lapsi was the biggest dog that they had there and when i booked they didnt seem to mind that she was a big dog either. Our dog even enjoyed the lovely menu that she had and for two days she was spoiled. that made a huge difference to our stay. Thank you.”
