“Absolutely loved our stay at the quirky Bike & Boot hotel. A true dog friendly hotel where pooches are not just tolerated but welcomed with open arms (literally!) Lovely friendly staff and superb food and drink at the Bareca restaurant. The rooms are well equipped and it’s well worth upgrading to a sea view. Dog washing facilities were a god send for soggy spaniels and the complimentary dog toys were a really nice touch. Lots to do along the seafront, beautiful sandy beach with no restrictions as we were out of season and Scarborough castle is also just a short walk away. We took a walk along the Cleveland way coastal path to nearby Cayton Bay beach, lots to explore and sand for days! Stopped off on our journey home to explore Goathland railway (home to Heartbeat and featured in Harry Potter) and Mallyan Spout waterfall, not too far away and well worth a visit. Highly recommend Bike and Boot!”

“I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day break here, we took our dog and we were all made very welcome. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. I would have preferred a full breakfast instead of a continental breakfast but that was my only gripe. The hotel was very clean and well kept. I would recommend this place to stay if you want to take your dog it’s perfect”

“Loved this hotel and the staff, so friendly and welcoming. Great location by the seafront and next to a park for instant dog walking. Brilliant facilities for cleaning up your dog (or bike if you are dog free). Lovely food in the restaurant, sampled breakfast lunch and dinner. Great service. Good cocktails. Unfortunately, our room was blisteringly hot, even leaving the window open all day and night (in early February and Sunday was sleet and snow at times, so not warm) and there was a very bad smell like blocked drains from the bathroom, which we mentioned before checking out (to be honest, we should have asked to move rooms, but we were tired and had already lugged everything up 3 flights of stairs - there is a lift - we were trying to get fit). To be fair, the chap on reception instantly arranged for maintenance for the room. We didn't mention the heat of the room (forgot) but again we should really have asked to swap. We really liked the view (medium sized sea view room) and other points about the room were great. We would definitely stay again.”

“Had a great 2 night break at Bike and Boot, very quirky comfortable stay. They really have thought of everything to make for an enjoyable break. We loved the cinema room where you could take your pooch and chill, also the dog grooming parlour to get rid of sandy paws! Free coffee and cake in the afternoons and the fact that they can go everywhere with you . We had a lovely large sea facing room to enjoy the views. Would definitely recommend.”

“Just had 3 nights at The Bike and Boot and absolutely loved it. Our dog Lottie was made to feel really welcome and even got a little toy on arrival! The dog spa was brilliant too to get Lottie all fresh and clean after long walks. The room was immaculate,, with fun and quirky decor. There’s plenty places to chill after a day at the beach and a fab cinema with a great choice of films. The food was really good in the restaurant and lots of delicious cocktails too. We will definitely be back”
