Bannatyne Spa Hotel was perfect for a last-minute getaway out of London. Access to spa facilities, beautiful gardens and close to coast, castle and history between Battle and Hastings. And for our furry "child", the hotel supplied a lovely dog bed, food/water bowl and even some biscuits and a toy which was a lovely surprise. The breakfast was almost too big and the food was good quality. Would go again when we need to get away. Thank you PetsPyjamas for the last minute support!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Bannatyne. On arrival we were given water bowls, beds and dog treats for our two dogs. The dogs received a very warm welcome from all hotel staff (which they loved!). The room was modern, clean and large which was great for our retriever/poodle as he had room to wander around the room! We ate both nights at the hotel to stay close to the dogs who remained in our room and the food was great. What was even nicer though, was that a staff member approached us to say that they could hear our dog who was asking to go out to the toilet as we were too far from the room to hear. The Bannatyne made us and our dogs feel very welcome. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough, plus the location was so close to the beautiful town of Rye and the dogs loved their stroll around Camber Sands!

Nice hotel, lovely big room on the ground floor. Dog friendly? I would say, dogs accepted, not dogs welcome. When we arrived the bar was full so we wondered into the conservatory with our drink, which is an extension of the bar. We were told dogs not allowed in there, even though it wasn’t open for dining. Dining: They set us up a table in the bar/lounge. Would have been nice to have a tablecloth on it like the other diners had in the conservatory. The food was at best average, we have eaten better in a local pub. Grounds: Advertised as set in 38 acres. Most of this was a golf course out of bounds. There was only a small area for dog walking. Having bagged her poo, there wasn’t a single outside bin anywhere around the hotel. On the plus side: The location was good for a short drive into Hastings which is a very dog friendly town and pier. Overall, it’s fine for an overnight B&B stopover, I wouldn’t recommend it as a holiday break.
