The Ambleside Inn is in such a beautiful and perfect location. The rooms were a really good size and were lovely and clean. Breakfast was fab! We only had dinner at the hotel once (it is smack bang in the middle of Ambleside absolutely surrounded by bars and restaurants!), and it was lush! Staff were incredibly friendly and our dog, Nebula, was treated like a queen! No parking, but the public car park was only a couple of minutes walk away and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be staying again!

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? It made us feel we could relax and enjoy our stay as the staff went out of their way to make sure our dog had everything he needed. Even bringing a dog bowl of water to our table while we having our meal.
Very nice spot in the centre of Ambleside. Everything was clean and well kept. Bed comfortable. Plenty of tea/coffee and biscuits in the room. Very helpful, cheerful staff. We had a large family room for 4 plus a dog and there was plenty of space. Plenty of dog treats on tap and we were made very welcome with our dog, which meant we could relax. Nice hot and cold breakfast buffet too. We also had evening meals in the pub which were good traditional pub food with vegetarian options. Only down side was nowhere to park at hotel, need to park elsewhere in Ambleside, but it was possible for us to pull in outside hotel to load/unload baggage.

Great place to stay; clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. The Ambleside Inn is right in the centre of Ambleside. Loads of things to see and do. Most of the shops and pubs welcomed 'Scuffy' our little dog, into their establishments. The hotel even left Scuffy some doggie treats on the bed

We had a great weekend stay at the Ambleside Inn. Wilbur has never been so spoilt and pampered, He especially loved the great sausages for breakfast!

Our room was a really good size with plenty of floor space for our puppy Louis to play and for his bed. Sound proofing was very good as well, as we couldn't hear the other guests or their dogs at all. We overlooked the main road so there was some noise when the windows were open, but there was a fan provided if the room got too stuffy. In addition, there were other touches like doggy treats, ear plugs and an iron and ironing board - having these things 'as standard' make all the difference. The only criticism I have about the room is the bathroom layout - the towel rail was always 'on' with no means of adjusting the temperature and was very close to the shower. Due to the compact size of the bathroom, there was no way to avoid burning myself on the rail when I was drying off after a shower. I would suggest this needs to be seriously looked at before somebody really hurts themselves. The pub was really lovely, with good food and great decor. All doggy parents secretly want their fur babies to be admired, and the staff did just that every time they saw Louis - he really was treated like a star Breakfast was included and was very good quality (although I would have liked more choice of juice than just orange, but that's purely personal preference). Again, the only negative I have (as an e-cig smoker) is the lack of covered seating outside, as only 1 table could be used comfortably in the rain. We would absolutely stay at the Ambleside Inn for every visit to the Lakes - it really gave us and Louis everything we needed, and Ambleside itself is a lovely village perfectly situated for travelling around the whole area.

Our first little break with our 6.5month old Labrador - everyone was very friendly (and dog friendly). Food was amazing, even the buffet breakfast - Will be planning a return trip very soon!

Friendly, welcoming staff. Room was clean and tidy, such a good size. Breakfast was fabulous and so was evening food. Perfect to come back to after a wet and rainy walk through the hills.
