“Pleasant room ground floor with direct access to green area. Friendly staff and the dogs even had their own sausages for breakfast!”

“I came to The Bell Inn with my husband and our cocker spaniel Molly. We had a fantastic stay. Our room was beautiful and opened up onto a lawn for Molly to use. The restaurant served delicious food and everyone made a fuss of the dog each time we went. We had fun exploring and wished we could have stayed longer.”

“What a gem The Bell Inn proved to be. The welcome, dog-friendly facilities and restaurant were all above our expectations. The staff were all very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Bell Inn will be our place of choose whenever we are in the area.”

“We booked two rooms as we were taking F-I-L for a long weekend break. The rooms were laid out lovely, very clean. The receptionist was very welcoming, Dexter (our dog) was given a tray, water dish , treats and a tennis ball on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble, every member of staff was welcoming and friendly, towards humans and dogs alike. We stayed in 2 of the garden rooms, these were perfect as Dexter felt like he had his own private garden to run and chase his ball, there was a bench outside the room where we could sit and throw his ball, it was a lovely sun trap. The food was very nice and beautifully presented. I have to say that the portions were very generous and even my partner struggled with some of them and he has a massive appetite. We were fortunate enough to visit on the weekend of the Roll Royce/Bentley rally was being held at nearby Burghley House, and some of the participants were staying at the hotel. This was a real treat as we got to look around the cars of those staying, as well as going to visit them at the rally. I would highly recommend this hotel”

“Great roomy dog friendly room. Great having the garden straight off the room to be able to let dogs out (on the lead) to the shared garden area. Room had a good space and was one of the best dog friendly rooms we’ve stayed in for those reasons. Dogs got offer of sausages for breakfast but that was really the only attention the dogs got from the staff members (except one lady who served us breakfast she asked their names and about them but the rest didn’t )”

“We had a lovely 3 night stay with our 2 labradors. We stayed in the Forge room which opens directly onto the beer garden.”

“Had a lovely 3 night stay at The Bell to celebrate my dog Paul’s 1st Birthday. The staff made me, my husband and I all feel very welcome. Our room was by the garden which made it easy to toilet and leg stretch Paul. The room was spacious and well equipped. It was good to have a Nespresso machine. Ate at the bar each day for dinner and breakfast. The food was delicious and there was a good selection of wines to choose from. Paul got a sausage for his breakfast each day and lots of fuss from the lady serving us (sorry don’t know her name), especially on his birthday. A good location for driving to some great walks though not much to do by the hotel. Even though it was as early May when we stayed it was warm and sunny enough to get a tan. Thank you for all the dog treats. We had a memorable stay and would love to come again in the future. Great value for money on the 3 night offer.”
