“Lovely dog friendly hotel with very welcoming staff. Bedrooms are comfortable with a lovely modern bathroom and complementary luxury toiletries. Doggie welcome pack was appreciated. We booked the exclusive package- the cream tea was amazing but we were disappointed with the evening meal hence the 4 stars. They informed us the menu was changing and therefore 4 items were not available but turns out most of the menu wasn't available. When the food we ordered arrived we were disappointed as it was dry and overcooked. However we really enjoyed our stay and would return, but eat elsewhere. La Trattoria is a dog friendly Italian restaurant just over the road and we would definitely go there again.”

“There was a slight problem on arrival in that the staff on duty did not know about the afternoon tea or the dinner included in the package. However, this was resolved on the second day and the staff were very good and very friendly. Everything was excellent (apart from the weather). The only niggle is that there are fewer car parking spaces than there are rooms and a number of guests had to find street parking some distance from the hotel.”

“As soon as we arrived at the Feathers they couldn't do enough for us. The dogs were treated like 5 star quests both in the hotel and bar. They were welcome everywhere. The treats they received on arrival with dog bowls and towels were really appreciated. All staff are great but we have to give a special mention to Keith he goes above and beyond for you.”

“Had a lovely stay at this gorgeous super dog friendly hotel. Great facilities and loved the little extra luxuries in the room. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. Bailey loved his little holiday. And we will definitely book with PetsPyjamas again.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? For over 12 hours, the hotel was without power. Therefore, we had no means of a warm shower or use of electrical equipment (eg. To make tea or coffee in the room). This is the only reason for my ‘no’ response for good value for money. It would have been g

“What an amazing location for dogs! Not only was the hotel incredibly welcoming for our pooch, but so was almost every cafe, pub and restaurant in the area. We never once felt a loose part with having our fur friend with us.”

“Hotel was lovely, great location and couldn’t have felt more welcome. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, both ourselves and our dogs felt so comfortable. Room was clean and tidy, food at the hotel was delicious. Can’t recommend this hotel enough for those of you wanting a weekend break with your four legged friend.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Found out that other couples had cheaper stays . Our room was up 3 flights of stairs which is harder when the dog needs to wee in the night . Also disappointed with service charges in restaurant , even on night where dinner was included, also charged £3 f
