We were made to feel special; the food was fresh and tasty, our dog Keeley loved her breakfast sausage and the room was well equipped with tea and coffee, clean and comfy. More than happy to go back

We had a great time at The Feathers on a 3 for 2 offer. Everything about the hotel is quality and so nice that we could enjoy it with our dogs.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Excellent staff, particularly Lucy at breakfast and the lady manager on reception
Another fabulous stay at the Feathers. The rooms are so plush you feel like you are in a palace, and the staff treat you like royalty, so what’s not to like!?

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Could not use shower over bath due to disability.
A wonderful break especially as recently recovered from COVID. Very comfortable hotel meeting all its 3 AA Star Guide. This coupled with good food and excellent, friendly, professional staff. Thank you PetsPygamas for finding an excellent hotel.

We had a great mini break at the Feathers. The building is full of character in a lovely town with plenty near by. The rooms are lovely and the food is excellent but the icing on the cake is the wonderful staff. every member of the team treated us and our pooch as we were special guests. Best staycation we have had.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? It would've been value for money if we'd received everything in the package.
We booked the Barking Britain package for a couple of days away with our 2 children and our Cockapoo. When booking, PetsPyjamas were very helpful in adding the children to the package (which is only for 2 adults) and we were offered a lovely Suite in the hotel giving us a bit more space. Unfortunately when we arrived we were told the Suite wasn't suitable for dogs or children, this was incredibly disappointing. There was no mention of the Cream Tea from the package and when we got to our standard room there were no special doggy treats at all. After some conversations with the Manager and PetsPyjamas it transpired that the booking was done through the hotel chains central reservations team who didn't communicate any of the package details to the hotel. I would like to say that the Hotel and staff were wonderful, the room was lovely albeit a little cramped for us all. It was very, very stuffy though (no air con in such an old building!) so be prepared if you are visiting during a warm spell. We were offered fans but our poor little pooch was panting all night. We ate in the bar accompanied by our doggy and we did feel she was very welcome, there were doggy bowls scattered around the premises. There is a lovely park about 5mins walk from the hotel (The Walled Garden) but it does get locked at night. There are also some lovely woods nearby and lots of dog friendly pubs (I recommend The Prince Of Wales for a traditional vibe). Overall, The Feathers is a lovely place but if you have booked through PetsPyjamas I'd recommend calling ahead to make sure they know what you've been offered and what you are expecting!
