We absolutely loved this quaint & cosy hotel. From the moment we drive up, it had charm & class. The staff were attentive & friendly. The food was delicious & the decor was fun and whimsical. We will definitely be back.

Lovely hotel, very dog friendly, we will definitely stay again, but make sure you have plenty of time if you are eating in the restaurant as they are very slow. Food is worth the wait.

The stay was overall enjoyable. However when we arrived there was a huge renovation happening at the front and back of the hotel with lots of noise and builders. We hadnt been informed of this prior to booking. The swan is a quaint place but this was spoilt by the sound of diggers and builders shouting with tops off etc. The room was spacious but a little tired in parts. For example chipped walls and skirting boards. Also the chairs and cushions were stained. The air con also didnt work very well. The breakfast was lovely and the morning staff were very nice. Also the reception staff were lovely too. However, the service during our evening meal on the thursday 1 july wasnt great. We had to keep asking for things. There were a lot of young staff who spent the majority on the time messing around behind the bar. Theyd walk past and wouldnt look at you. We had to practically wave to grab attention. The meals came out really quickly which did seem a little bit rushed and concerning as to how can meals be prepared in 5 minutes. There was also no music in the bar so the atmosphere was a little strange. The pool was lovely and clean. There were good aspects but some not so great. We have always wanted to stay here but it didnt live up to expectations really.

We've used Pets Pyjamas for the last 4 or 5 years, but have to say this is the most dog friendly hotel we've ever stayed at. The staff were all absolutely lovely, and nothing was too much trouble. Gemma got a sausage every morning, and multiple tickles! The food was delicious, the rooms overall were great, and it was a brilliant location to explore. Our only quibble would be that it took two days for us to get our Pets Pyjamas gift and when we did, we didn't receive the dog treat and towel that others rooms did. But would definitely return!
