This hotel is a place of necessity - come if you want a place to lay your head after a hike in nearby hills - don't come for the hotel experience, it's grim. Receptionist did not acknowledge my dog. She informed me that all dog 'friendly' rooms were on first floor and the only outside space for them is small, tatty garden area to front of hotel. No bowl for dog, had to use bowl teabags came in but it required washing as had tea stains all over. The room was APPALLING - to the extent that we came home. Dismal decor, the window looked out onto a shabby concrete wall, bathroom unclean with a moldy shower curtain, dead spider, grubby grouting and when i attempted to run a bath, hairs and dirt flew up from plug area. That was it for me. My dog was miserable and lay by the door wanting to leave. The hotel restuarant was the best area and dogs not allowed, they can go in tiny bar area. It was joyless and a horrible waste of money.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Wasn’t sure why the dog package wasn’t available and not sure we paid less for it either
The toilet wasn’t cleaned, I had to clean very smelly urine drops off the toilet seat and the whole bathroom smelt of urine so probably hadn’t been cleaned for a while. It seemed smaller than I expected and seemed a bit shabby in the rooms but the lounge and bar was ok.

The overall impression when you enter hotel is good, our bedroom was OK, clean but certainly needed decorating/upgrading. The bathroom was spacious but marks in bath & the room needs work, the finish is very bad. Evening meal in 1st night was OK. The breakfast next morning - no fresh fruit but on menu, bacon overdone, scrambled egg in water, mushroom cold. Coffee from jug only just warm. We ate out following evening but had breakfast on last morning, Monday. We arrived 9am ish, I asked for fresh fruit & I did get some but again scrambled egg in water, mushrooms awful, bacon overcooked. No pastries & yet again v cool coffee. NOT GOOD & won't be back

Had a two-night stay at this lovely Hotel. The staff were all super friendly and could not do enough for us A bottle of wine awaited us in our room. The food at Casa was lovely and our room was comfortable and clean.

The hotel appears to have recently undergone a face lift, but our room was really quite shabby. Water damaged and chipped furniture, limp pillows. Can't help but think we were put in a slightly shabby room because we had a dog. There were no dog bowls in the room, we had to request them. Buffet breakfast and evening meal were good. Staff friendly and helpful.

We booked through pets pyjamas but staff were not helpful when they realised we had our dogs with us. We had a small room which was accessed by going up a flight of stairs along corridor through 3 fire doors and then down another flight of stairs. Very inconvenient. We were unable to book for evening meal as they were too busy. Dog owners were only allowed to eat in a small bar area. Breakfast was disappointing as again very busy, people were waiting and annoyed as the buffet had run out of eggs. Other items were limited and overcooked. Would not recommend and won't visit again.

Beautiful hotel in great location. Katy was made so welcome with her own sausage for breakfast. I would go again. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is bedroom could do with a refresh

It is an old hotel, the pictures on the side of the room and bathroom do not match. No food or water bowls for our French Bulldogs. The bathroom has long been in need of replacement. Wall crumbles. breakfast was minimal no slice of cheese or cold cuts. All this reported at check out. were just a few rooms that had had an update.
