Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Our only criticism would be that breakfast was served a bit early for our liking 7am to 9am.

“Found the hotel very dog friendly and all the staff especially Claire, Charlotte and Gareth make it for a very enjoyable experience, room was spacious and comfortable,restaurant and bar area very relaxed, food good, all in all we had a very pleasant stay here and a big thumbs up from our dog Charlie.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? I'd definitely look up what's around the hotel before booking. I just went by the look of the hotel as it is a lovely hotel but would of rather had walks on the door stop so not having to drive to a different area

“Hotel lovely clean room spacious staff super helpful and friendly and yes the hotel is dog friendly but they do really make dogs welcome. We stated bed and breakfast breakfast was lovely. The hotel it's self is situated in the middle of no where although there is a beach bit further down but if your wanting walks on your doorstep then this isn't hotel for you, luckily we drove so drove to Coniston and lake windermere I'd say the only down fall about this hotel is no fridge in rooms which I think there should be considering its a dog hotel no where to keep dog food fresh I had to throw some of our dog food away as was trying to keep it cool in a sink of cold water.”

“Main hotel areas nicely kept however the bedroom very tired and poorly decorated. No glasses for water and no water supplied in the room During our stay there was an issue with staff. One of the waiting on staff was bullied by her superior while working in the restaurant, she was very upset and distraught, I supported this young girl by talking to her and offering advice on how to manage the situation. On checkout my credit card had been debited prior to me checking my bill, when questioned the member of staff failed to take ownership and did not manage the concern with any care”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? I felt Staff were very good, Menu needs to change more often. Executive room allthough large, it seemed a bit outdated.

“The Dunes, nice location staff were excellent, food good but menu could be changed daily. When staying for 2,3 or more nights it was the same menu for evening meal.”

“Satnav tried to take us down a private road, obviously happens a lot as a sign had been put up, a warning would have been helpful. Hotel feels a little remote but is very dog friendly though had to ask for dog bowls etc as hadn't been left in the room. Room was very comfortable and spacious. Staff all helpful and friendly. Food delicious. Field for dog to run on was too muddy on our visit but nearby beach (5 min drive) was great. No car park charges apply before 10am and after 4pm.”

“The service at the hotel was excellent. The staff were helpful and lovely. The food was exceptional. Our dog Barney was treated like family having treats on the table at meal times and a sausage each morning for breakfast. We would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone travelling with a dog.”

“The Dunes hotel is a lovely modern hotel that welcomes your dog every bit as it welcomes you. The rooms are a good size and up to date, the staff were amazing and the food was very good. Definitely worth a visit !”
