“We did a two night stay. Staff were very pleasant. Rooms were lovely. The dogs were made very welcome, with water and treats. They also had a sausage at breakfast. The location was lovely and quiet, just off the main fuel carriageway. Ideal location for Windermere and surrounding area..”

“Lovely hotel in a quiet location. Not very busy as out of season still but you can see how lovely this would be for weddings etc. Staff were all lovely and helpful and made a great fuss of our dog. Need to organise or communicate better with pets pyjamas. We booked the Barking Britain package which included the kendal mint cake and a craft gin drink. Didnt get either. Had to find out from reception what was included in the dinner as the wait staff didnt know. Didnt spoil things though. Rooms were nice and clean but would've preferred ground floor for ease of letting the dog out. There's a lovely big field across from the entrance for letting the dog run around”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Staff were very friendly,welcoming and obliging. They really do like having dogs staying. The rim was spacious, warm but the bathroom while being large and having all amenities could have been updated to ensure that the toilet seat fitted the base module

“We booked through PetsPyjamas and were so very well looked after! I honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Everyone was so accommodating for me and my dog and would 100% stay again!”

“The hotel was very quiet with only a few guests staying which was great as it was the first time we had taken our Dalmatian dog Blossom away with us. Food and service was excellent. Our only negative was that we weren't supplied with any details on arrival about meal times etc or what we got included in our stay as we had paid for dinner in our deal and there was no information in the rooms either. When we checked out we were given a full bill of costs to pay which again included stay and dinner which we had already paid for when we booked. We didn't get gin, kendal mint cake or a mini bar either in our room as advertised.”

“We arrived at the hotel just after 3pm and was checked in by the lovely receptionist, the hotel wasn’t busy but nothing lacked. We booked into the restaurant at check in for dinner which was a nice touch felt like we was actually on holiday. The room was spacious, modern and cosy, our dog Frankie loved his little bed and dog treats which was a lovely surprise. We decided to stay in and head the bar/ restaurant which again is decorated beautifully, staff are helpful and smiley. The best part of our stay was the amazing food, we had the Sunday lunch and this was honestly the best roast dinner I’ve had in a long time, we had breakfast the next morning and again was exceptional! We will be booking again as we loved our stay and Frankie didn’t want to leave dragging us back to inside which he’s never done anywhere before! 10/10”

“The dunes hotel is a decent enough hotel, however, I don't think I would stay again. The staff members are friendly, to the point of being a little too familiar, especially with dog treats. The location is a touch remote but that was what we wanted on this occasion and a three-minute drive takes you to a magnificent beach and dunes. It was lucky we were on the lower ground floor, as being locked out after letting the dog out at 4.45 in the morning, in a gale force storm, meant I could climb the wall, knock on the bedroom window, pass the dog through and get my partner to go and open the automatic sliding door. The comment in the morning was "Sorry about that, the night porter should have answered." The food was decent enough, although booking the meal at 6:30 meant we were asking for our sweet course at 8:30 and didn't receive it until after 9:00. Our package included an evening meal which they billed us for but was duly rectified. We paid for extra drinks at the time and were billed in the morning, again rectified. The dance music at 11:30 pm coming from someone's room was not appreciated as we had planned an early rise in the morning. Overall the food was decent, staff friendly, we did have to ask for the dog bed and bowl (Part of the package) and the room was well furnished with a comfortable bed but for me, it was poorly managed and as mentioned previously, don't think would return.”

“Staff welcoming. Room very good. Waiting staff all went above and beyond, particularly Luke, Joe and Isaac! Very dog friendly. Bed and treats waiting in the room, for the dog that is!”
