“Nice bar , restaurant and spa but room was small and cleanliness in bathroom was disgraceful Following our arrival I went to reception to report that there was human hair under the sink and the toilet roll holder , their was dust and a disposable razor blade cover behind the door and the bathroom window would not open On our return after a day out on second day the room had been serviced but the hair and razor cover were still on the bathroom floor . My wife went to reception and returned with a member of staff who was shown the problem ,within 20 minutes they returned with the cleaners and the bathroom was properly cleaned at the end of day two Shortly after a maintenance man arrived inspected the window and agreed it was firmly stuck and he would contact the window firm but they would take several days to respond .this was clearly not a new problem as there ware marks in the plastic window frame where a screwdriver had previously been inserted in an attempt to lever the window open He said he would have a fan sent to the room to bring down the temperature in the bathroom but nothing arrived during the rest of our stay We have used pets pyjamas on a number of occasions and this hotel fell well below the standard of accommodation we have come to expect from your recommended dog friendly places to stay”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? No. Except sadly we probably wouldn’t choose to return.

“Visited recently with our dogs. Hotel looks lovely, but limited parking. We had to park on the road one night. Staff are very nice and friendly but young and not trained. They are also incredibly stressed and understaffed possibly due to covid which meant delays eg. We booked dinner for 20:15 and by 21:45 I still had not eaten, however a hen party who came in after us had all 3 courses before ours arrived. We were offered a drink to compensate. When it did eventually arrive the food was lovely. Also little things like lovely staff at breakfast but just a little chaotic. The room we were allocated with 2 dogs was woefully inadequate. For the price we paid there was no room to swing a cat let alone 2 small dogs! No air conditioning. Unfortunately for us my track and trace alerted me to self isolate for 5 days, so we decided to return home( besides everything else I couldn’t stay in that room isolating for 3 days!). We settled the bill but as yet have not received a receipt despite being told it would be emailed. Think the staff were busy again. Did love the sausages for the dogs breakfast, generally the staff were so nice and they were working very hard despite the circumstances but we paid a fair amount and felt that we didn’t have value for money. A shame but very disappointed.”

“Our Labrador was made to feel very welcome at the hotel. She was given her own sausage at breakfast and everyone made a fuss of her. The hotel itself was also lovely and we’d definitely like to return. The bar area was nicer to eat at than the Locker Room which was a bit lifeless the night we went, but the food was excellent. Really recommend it.”

“Lovely hotel and good food , staff very helpful. There is a large apartment being constructed in front of the hotel which could be noisy during the week and has ruined a coastal view. Very enjoyable stay overall”
