Just returned from a 3 night stay . Staff very freindly and made a real fuss of our dog Betsy . The food was excellent and faultless and the daily breakfast superb and hot. The fish and chips amazing from the inns own chip shop too. Betsy got her sausage everyday and a lovely tote bag filled with goodies . Bear in mind this is an Inn and not a hotel so standards will vary . Our room (2) was tastefully decorated and has a fab shower with views over the sea and beach . The entrance and communal stairway is looking tired but most places that accept dogs in all weathers do take a bashing but our room was clean and very comfortable . Thanks to Nick and his team a great stay and we hope to return . Excellent location, great parking and a nice village with a close local park . The beach was wonderful for Betsy too

My friend and I have recently returned from a weeks holiday to Norfolk, staying at The Ship Inn, Beach Road, Mundersley, Norfolk. What a great place to stay. After a small problem upon arrival in that Pets Pajamas had booked the two rooms but on different days, not sure how that would have worked being as we travelled together and I booked two rooms! Nick the wonderful Manager managed to move things around and accomodate us. The service that we received all week from the Management to the cleaners was second to none. Very happy to help, charming, hard working, polite and service with a smile. The senior House Keeper Donna was charming and very helpful, and I was very touched upon our second day to find an Original Collection Hound Tote Bag on my bed for my furry friend Pearle, full of wonderful goodies. She was treated to a sausage every day at breakfast, and made to feel really at home. The food was excellent, breakfast over the moon!! Would love to return again. Thankyou to all at The Ship Inn.

It was our first visit to Mundesley, The Ship Inn is in a perfect location right on the beautiful beach. Perfect for dog walks and if your pup loves the water they’ll love it. Room was spacious and bed comfortable, breakfast was good and the fish& chips were delicious.

Room over kitchen extractor fan, smelly and noise all night. Windows wouldn't open, room too small and bathroom also. Carpet and finishes of room tired and worn. Noise from cellar which was directly under bedroom too. Total nightmare. Management staff stated they wouldn't help with complains because we had booked thra third party.( pets pyjamas) and also said they didn't like pets pyjamas either. Situation and site of place fabulous, however , for us the service and overall feeling was I wouldn't go back to this pub to stay.

The inn has a great location, open view to the beach and the room was very comfortable. Personnel was average, couldn't check in before 2.30 and once we did there was no warm welcome or goodies for our dog. We stayed for dinner at the pub, food was ok but the queu was terrible.

Great location sitting right on the beach, but that's sadly all the place has going for it. Essentially this is a pub, a very big pub, with rooms upstairs that seem like an afterthought. Yes, the rooms are nicely decorated, but they certainly aren't cleaned regularly to any great standard. And the plumbing in the en-suites has clearly been installed on the cheap as the noise, oh my goodness, we reluctantly used the taps/flushed the loo as it sounded horrendous, shuddering and screeching in the pipes. Also during the day and into the evening there was constant disturbance from the main pub door beneath us, slamming every 30 seconds. Of course, you expect some ambient noise in such a venue, but this was very intrusive and made the room windows vibrate each time. Needs attention. Couldn't work the TV, provided with 2 (grubby) remote controls, no instructions in the room. So we gave up and cornered a member of staff who explained it was the HDMI source 1 and then it loaded some program to access the channels. Not clear at all. Also, breakfast is a short window between 9-10am, again nothing stating this in the room, so if we hadn't asked we could have missed out. The Ship really could improve with their communication/instructions in the rooms, as staff members are always thin on the ground serving in the bar/waiting tables so no one to ask as no reception desk, just a till in the restaurant. Breakfast was average, with lots of choices and large portions, but nothing amazing. Our dog enjoyed his breakfast sausage, but we weren't bowled over by any of the staff making a fuss of him or being friendly, maybe I expected too much !! The food in the restaurant was ok, we ate at The Vernon Arms (fab food) down the road in SouthRepps which was dog friendly and really welcoming in comparison. The queue for the bar in the Ship stretches out the door at busy times. In a nutshell, would I return, nope, not at the rates they charge !!

A great stay at this dog friendly inn. A stone’s throw from a dog friendly beach, my two had a whale of a time running in the surf. They also loved the treat bag and their morning sausage, Not cheap but well worth the money, breakfast was lovely on both days that we stayed and was lovely and hot. Shame the weather wasn’t better but nothing they could have done about that.

Stunning situation for a hotel…We managed three dog walks on the dog zone parts of the beach in a one night stay! Hotel was welcoming and dog friendly and a good sized room, sea facing views. Food was ok - local beer was great!
