“Cliff top location and a sunny August Sunday meant that the pub was extremely busy, which meant a long wait to get checked in and then again when ordering a drink later in the day.”

“Personal, personable service. My comfy room's window overlooked the sea and sand and the beer garden. A small rain shower cleared the beer garden but made the bar even more cosy, where staff reserved dog and me a table as restaurant was fully booked. Good fayre and drink with dogs at almost every table. Same again at breakfast. Great value.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? The only negative was the lack of the promised goody bag for the dogs. Not a big issue but shouldn't be promised if it's not something that materialises.

“We stayed for just one night at The Ship Inn, taking our 2 dogs and also my mum, who had her own room. From start to finish, the staff were very attentive and ensured we had a great stay. The hotel is situated in the heart of the village, right on the cliff top with very special views over the beach and a 180 degree panorama over the North Sea. The restaurant is very busy as it's so popular - we were advised to book and we were glad that we did as countless people turned up asking for tables throughout the evening only to be turned away. Breakfast was really good and the dog's had their own sausage to keep them happy! Rooms are brilliantly finished and our room had sea views. There are stairs up to the rooms - my mum is not very mobile but coped ok with these (others with mobility issues may struggle). Car park is big and we had no problem getting in, although at peak times on nice days you may find that beach-goers use it due to its easy access down to the coast. Staff were all very helpful and friendly and we'd definitely return. Thank you.”

“We had a wonderful time at the Ship Inn. The staff were so helpful and kind and our room was stunning (we stayed in Room 2) with incredible seaview! Lovely food and overall great location. Doggies also enjoyed their stay! Thank you!”

“I really enjoyed my stay. The room was just right for me and Brian (Labrador). The meals were very enjoyable.plenty of choices at the bar and the staff were all brilliant .Unfortunately this was slightly spoiled by young children left to run riot.”

“The accommodation was excellent. Very tastefully and stylish decor and furnishings. A very comfy large bed. The Seaview was a complete Seaview from our room and the garden. The bathroom was truly excellent, with a large shower and the deepest comfiest bath I've encountered. The staff were all very good. The only downside was that breakfast was only from 09:00 - 10:00. We had to wait 25 minutes for our food order to be taken and another 20 mins for it to be served. We were not happy with the wait considering there was only 5 couples in. However the breakfast itself was good. We would definitely stay here again”

“Perfect location on the coast with friendly staff and great service. The room was lovely with a sea view and lots of room for our dog who was spoilt with sausages at breakfast. Even though it was extremely windy we still enjoyed walking along the sea wall.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Mundesley is a nice village, with everything you need and is a good base to venture to other parts of Norfolk

“Very Dog friendly with the pub garden overlooking the sea. We didn’t have a room with a sea view as we were at the front on the pub, but didn’t mind as the room was nice with a comfy bed and nice shower. Although the room was at the front it was very quiet. Our evening meal was lovely as was the lovely cooked full English breakfast. The restaurant was nice and it’s great our dog was able to join us. The staff are lovely and very accommodating.”
