I have just had the most relaxing, enjoyable and welcoming stay at the venue. The Hut is cosy and ideal for people away with their dog(s). If you have large dogs (as I do) can comfortably take in the hut. the pub is very friendly, the locals are lovely and staff go above and beyond. wish I could just stay there forever.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? I am already looking forward to returning - maybe for their Christmas break, which sounds heavenly!
Wow, what a lovely place the Merry Harriers and their Shepherds Huts are! Me, my Partner and our furry best friend (our Bulldog 'Ammo') had an amazing time here during our short mid-August break. From the outset, we were greeted by our friendly and very efficient host Martine who is clearly a huge dog fan. Once in our temporary home for the next few days (Shepherds Hut no. 5) the accommodation was both exceptionally clean and beautifully presented. It had everything there that we could have wanted and needed to make our break both relaxing and memorable. The pub itself is fantastic too, great food (including their breakfasts) and a great selection of drinks to choose from. Plus, as you can gather, very dog friendly :) The local area is a dream for the dog walker in us and the fire pit, that is with the hut, is wonderful to kick back and relax around.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? For anyone with and electric car, the nearest fast charging points seem to be the Shell Recharge points at the back of the Waitrose car park in Godalming. We had a lovely, relaxing weekend - highly recommended.
We had a wonderful weekend staying in a Shepherd Hut with our 11-month-old puppy, Sadie. The hut was cosy, spacious, beautifully decorated, comfortable and very well equipped. The staff at the MerryHarriers, and indeed everyone we met for the local area, are all incredibly friendly and helpful, and everywhere we went in the area was really dog-friendly and welcoming. This is a beautiful part of the country with lovely country walks and within an hour of a great dog-friendly beach. Thank you to PetsPyjamas for a great recommendation.

The hut was very cosy, with everything you would need, though it wasn’t enclosed or as rural as the pictures led us to believe. There was a car park and road next door so we didn’t feel comfortable letting out dog roam when she needed the loo. We had a package with breakfast and dinner though the food was not good, we had to pay £3.20 for half a glass of orange juice as drill is weren’t included with dinner. The girl that greeted us was not helpful, she didn’t really know what was going on and forgot to book us in for dinner the following evening. Though the surrounding countryside and walks were wonderful and we enjoyed our weekend away, we felt our stay was very overpriced for what we got and the staff could have been friendlier and more informative.

We had an awesome time! The cabins are so picturesque and beautifully decorated. The food was delicious (and the dogs loved it too). The staff were so caring and attentive. Can’t recommend enough. Thank you!

We stayed for 4 nights, the area itself is wonderful - lots of long walks to be had and beautiful views. The staff were so lovely and helpful mostly, but we felt on the whole it was quite disorganised. No one knew about the package we were on and our room had no dog bed, bowls or treats/toys. No one told us that there would be no room service either, which is fine - but it would have been nice to know when we arrived rather than having to ask the day after. The food was good, but there was a long wait most days. The hut itself was nice, the only thing was that there was a bit of a horrible smell wafting about every 30 mins or so for our entire stay. We never got to go on a walk with the llama's either which was a shame. Overall, a nice place to stay with friendly dog loving staff. Would recommend for anyone who likes a long walk too.

Stayed at the Merry Harriers with my girlfriend and our 5 month old puppy. Staff were really friendly and rooms were nicely setup for us and the dog. The kitchen staff even laid on a chicken a rice dinner for our puppy as we dined in the restaurant. Excellent all round stay, we will definitely go back.
