“The hotel was lovely very old and interesting place, spotless, lovely beds and very good for dogs, my puppy loved it, breakfast was excellent all in all we loved it and will definitely go back for a few more days this time”

“The hotel is beautiful, the welcome was great. But the lady at reception was of the mind that I hadn't paid for the stay? Catching me off guard and I paid again. Going around Harrogate I checked my previous emails from you and this proved I had paid before. On returning I showed the email and a refund was issued. As a way of saying sorry we we given two free breakfasts. So a small hiccup but this didn't spoil a lovely overnight stay. Would recommend it to everyone.”

“We arrived and there was nothing for cooper in the room. All the other items we have travelled with a pet via a Pets Pyjamas property there has been a dog bed, a toy, a treat and a water bowl. Since we expected that we did not bring his bed. They brought up a water bowl after we asked about the affiliation with Pets Pyjamas but that is all. It was disappointing.”

“Lovely hotel very Clean staff were very friendly and helpful Food was amazing very close to all amenities. Dogs made to be very welcome dog friendly pubs and cafes nearby”

“The hotel was perfectly located into the centre of Harrogate. On arrival the reception staff accommodated our needs with advice on local dog walks to a local park. Meal times were no issues as the bar area was dog friendly. Would most definitely return and recommend The Old Swan for a perfect stay.”

“But our room was grubby, and no shower soap, plus food expensive and small Very comfortable bed, lovely surroundings. Staff very friendly and helpful, but overall not good value.”

When we went the dining room was short staffed and didn't have the hot food menus out .A friend told us the eggs benedict were amazing so when I asked about them I was told I could order them .The chef kindly did a wonderful job they were lovely thank you

“It is a lovely hotel although in areas needs updating .It was recommended as a dog friendly hotel of which it was but unfortunately as dogs cannot use toilets and need to do their business outdoors most good owners pick up the business however there is no facilities of which I mean a bin on the premises.When I enquired at the reception if they would like me to pick up my dogs poo I would like to know where I dispose of it.The response I got was go down the street and use a public bin .To say this is a dog friendly hotel is not acceptable to be told to wander down a street.Unfortunatlely we will not be returning although to go without a dog is worth a visit”

“Not really pet friendly put in room on the 3rd floor, no dog bins whatsoever outside for her mess one dog bowl and a Matt in the bathroom our dog doesn't eat or drink in the bathroom!!”
