Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? We eat in the restaurant the first night and was impressed with the food. Wasn't cheap but reasonable for such a good meal. Breakfast was freshly cooked plus plenty fresh fruit & yogurt etc.

“We found Cragwood Country House to be very welcoming and ideal for us and Alfie our cocker spaniel. Room number 1 was lovely very with dual aspect of the lake and formal grounds. The gounds are ideal for dog walking with available bins. Archie had a little swim in Windermere as it isn't too deep to get in and out.”

“Good hotel. Too many stairs for people with limited mobility. Pitty dogs not allowed in dining rooms. Limited menu in bar and lounge areas. We wanted snacks, not a meal. Lots of good walking area for dogs. Breakfasts very good, but limited range. We stayed two nights but beds not made up and room not cleaned after first night's stay. Staff inexperienced, but were courteous and helpful”

“Beautiful house and grounds Extremely welcoming and friendly staff to all of us ... including my elderly Mum and my inquisitive and intelligent collie cross doggie Very accessible for the wheel chair and lovely room with doors straight to the outside gardens for me and my doggie to go walking first thing in the morning and last thing at night Will definitely go again”

“The hotel was very accommodating of dogs, and the staff were very friendly as well. We had a lovely room on the ground floor with doors onto the garden. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. We would definitely stay at the hotel again.”

“This is certainly a dog friendly hotel with nice grounds for walks and plenty of space in the bar area to relax with your dog. Every single staff member we met was very friendly. It’s not a cheap place though! Like most other dog friendly hotels, one thing this hotel would benefit from is a secured area where dogs could be let off lead without fear of them running off. It’s not a cheap place. However in terms of being “good value” it probably is based on hotels of a similar standard and location.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Boat trip was great, the views were breathtaking, what a beautiful place

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cragwood Hotel and can highly recommend the New Year Eve package. The food was excellent, the staff were attentive and helpful, we had the best New year's eve ever. Champagne and canapés, excellent meal, met lovely people, had a great dance and even got Stacey the manageress up on the dance floor. Big Chris was really helpful, staff are a credit to the hotel, we will definitely be back.....”
