“A lovely old building, our room was a good size and comfortable, the en-suite had a large roll top bath. There is a small fridge in the room, good for keeping dog food cool. There are nice walks from the hotel around the points of interest in Laugharne. The evening meal was a good standard and the breakfast sets you up for the day. Our dog enjoyed his breakfast sausage. The staff are very helpful and friendly.”

“I was shocked to hear this hotel is a 4*, it's more like a 3*. The food was great, and the staff were lovely however the rooms were very disappointing. To me it felt like the owners/ mangers haven't stayed in the rooms and seen where they are lacking. Tired bedrooms which are not very well thought out or well equipped. The bathrooms could really do with a deep clean. There was mould and hair in the shower. The doors in the annex building were very noisy, with people coming and going early in the morning and during the night, a soft closer would easily resolve this. I didn't plan on watching TV but it rained quite a bit during our stay, I would expect a 4* hotel to have a smart TV rather than an old tv with a few basic channels. We were not warned about how small the car park was and there was no spaces in the car park or on the street so that was a bit of a pain, refraining from having any drinks with dinner and constantly going out to see if anyone had left so we could park properly.”

“We have just had a wonderful stay at Brown's Hotel with our fury friend Norman. The whole experience was a treat. We stayed in the Talacharn room at the top of the building. The room was spotless with a giant sized bed and a large roll top bath. The food at Browns was top class, with the best breakfast you could wish for, even Norman was treated to a cooled down sausage (very thoughtful) The sense of history and the fact that Dylan Thomas spent many happy times in this place is palpable. I highly recommend this hotel, fantastic.”

“Excellent stay in Brown’s hotel. The staff were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. A very warm welcome too for our black Labrador Blue. Highly recommend this hotel . Outstanding!”

“We had a great two day stay at Brown's Hotel, the food was excellent and the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Our dog was made very welcome and enjoyed her breakfast sausage served each morning of our stay. This is a truly dog friendly hotel in a wonderful area of Wales.”

“Arrived as usual not knowing what to expect but on the whole enjoyable stay , Restaurant okay had enough Steak to upset all the Vegans in Wales My Bog Bertie (Westie) had a doggie bag every night The female serving staff were exemplary Looking forward to next break next month”

“We really loved our stay at Brown’s Hotel. The staff were really helpful and welcoming, and the food was fantastic. We would stay again just for the food alone. The room was lovely too and we had some nice walks around the area.”
