“The views from the hotel are lovely and the staff very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are good but the patio area is not private - there is no screening between patios and if you and your ‘neighbours’ are sitting out you are pretty much sitting next to each other. The location is good for walking along the coast. It is difficult to eat elsewhere in the evening without driving. There is one restaurant - Ocean’s Restaurant - which is a 40 minute walk along the coastal path - I would highly recommend visiting. The food at lunchtime was excellent and they are very accommodating and friendly - they also love dogs! I was actually quite disappointed with the hotel as I was expecting luxury. Whilst it is very nice it seems quite dated and I think the main problem for me is the lack of privacy between rooms, this could be easily addressed with some screening between the patios which would be better for the dog as well as us!”

“Lovely -lace dogs loved it plenty of walks swimming pool lovely spotless but disappointed treatments fully booked on arrival food ok but expensive but staff really lovely and friendly to us and dogs”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Only constructive feedback we would give is the ability to turn off the towel heater as the room was constantly very warm and that was on full the whole time, plus the bathroom grouting needed attention.

“Lovely location, with lots of facilities and great access to the surrounding NT coastal area. Very peaceful! The hotel is well laid out and clean, with areas clearly arranged for dogs. The pool and spa facilities were good and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really great and the day/evening menu also tasty.”

“Soar Mill Cove was the epitomy of dog welcoming hotels! We felt completely at ease with Geraldine although a pup, she met some lovely people and doggy’s . The hotel and surroundings including the cove were both dog friendly and doggy safe and meant we could enjoy the stay, food was amazing as were the staff, thoroughly recommend a stay . Michael , johann and Geraldine.”

“Soar Mill Cove Hotel and spa is located in a beautiful Cove on the south coast of Devon, with a fabulous view of the rolling green fields and the sea. The staff couldn't be more obliging and are the most dog-friendly of all the hotels we've been to.”

Did you feel your stay was good value for money? Yes

“What a fabulous week we had! we carnt praise the staff any higher than 100%.plus.bit would if we could. Our room was was perfect for us and our two dogs. With patio doors leading onto a patio with table and chairs and a grass area for doggy comfort late night and early morning. We booked Bed and breakfast as we wanted to have no time constraints but had a couple of evening meals in(we only had to let them know later in the day if we wanted to have a meal in). The food was lovely and plentiful I struggled to finish mine. Breakfast was a delight as all of he doggies were offered a sausage for breakfast too. All the staff made a fuss of all the dogs it made us feel very comfortable too. The surrounding area had plenty of walks too I strongly recommend anyone to visit .”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Breakfast was a bit old fashioned and having to stick to a breakfast time was a shame

“Lovely unpretentious hotel with an amazing location overlooking a beautiful private cove. Staff were very warm and friendly, dogs were very welcome, food was good. The hotel is all on 1 level which means all the rooms have private patios either overlooking the sea or the garden.”
