We were really disappointed with this hotel on a number of levels. Dog friendly areas: (1) The coffee shop - tired and plastic tables and chairs (2) The bar - right at the back of the building, no windows, views, natural light. No atmosphere at all. The main lounge which is featured as the main photo on the Pets PJs website is not dog friendly. The restaurant as outlined is not dog friendly either. Rooms and decor really tired and dated, not properly clean and not what you’d expect from a hotel in this price category I.e, sellotape holding remote control together. Plus points that the staff were friendly and the dinner we had on the one evening we did stay before terminating our stay early was very good. Want to do a huge shout out for the Pets PJs team who were amazing in sorting out our stay with the hotel. The service the team provided was outstanding and second to none. It meant we could finish our weeks holiday at a much better venue with a much needed rest. As ever will book with you again soon! Thanks team!

We loved our stay at Soar Mill Cove, and so did our dog Bandit. All the staff were great with him (even when he was being a little naughty!), and the location is fab for dog walks. We especially liked the warm dog wash which meant we could rinse him down before going back into the hotel. And bandit was especially happy with the sausages at breakfast

Certainly dog friendly, beautiful walks and dogs everywhere however, when asked for a spare dog bed/bedding or towel as forgot ours was told they didn’t have anything. Which having used pets in pjs before, came as a huge surprise. No doggy treats available (as advertised). First time booked in to eat at bar as dine with dog not allowed in main restaurant. However, when we arrived at the bar at our allocated time no tables to eat were available which wasn’t really a surprise as only 3 tables in the bar area. We were then given the coffee shop as another option which was rather like sitting having a picnic on cheap wooden chairs. For the money this cost for 2 nights was rather expecting more. No spa options as fully booked for next 5 days. No Irish coffee or baileys available at the bar, again disappointing. 2 lady waitresses very polite and helpful. Whereas tall foreign gentleman who appeared to be the restaurant manager, quite rude and abrupt to staff in front of customers and to customers to had any queries. Real shame as lovely set up in beautiful location
