“A warm welcome from Jonathan upon arrival made for a fab start and we were more than happy with our extended family garden room. It was spacious and easy for Paddy the dog to head out for a potter in the garden just off the patio. Mealtimes were a treat! Particularly enjoyed the crab sandwiches on offer for lunch and the lamb and salmon dishes at dinner. Breakfast highlights included the creamy porridge and haddock with poached eggs. Cocktail 2 for 1 hour was superb too. Clive took time to explain the martini’s on offer, so we learnt a bit too. Particularly enjoyed the company of Jonathan who was an absolute gem and hilarious . Matt was super kind and hospitable too and the staff as a whole was very hard working and up for a chat. Beautiful, beautiful location and full on dog friendly too. Children loved the beach, walking around the cove and of course the pool. Honestly one of our best hols in the UK and thank you for looking after us so well.”

“This lovely hotel really welcomed our two labradors and made it a very relaxing break away. The beach was only a 10 minute walk from the hotel and the views were fabulous. Highly recommend.”

“Lovely room, great service . Restaurant was very good especially breakfast. An enclosed outdoor space for your dog on the back of the rooms would help for those necessary toilet breaks pets need . Difficult if you have dogs that like to explore and you want the door open at all.”

“As always a fantastic stay at Soar Mill. What makes this place so special is the high quality food & drink, great facilities, idyllic location, dog friendly atmosphere, high quality rooms and above all, the extremely friendly, warm, helpful, professional and caring staff who really are second to none in terms of high quality customer service. I cannot praise the staff highly enough and are the reason we always visit this outstanding resort.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? We felt for the reasons it was overly expensive. The dogs were able to dine with us but there was no comfortable seating area for us and the dogs

“We did enjoy our stay at The Mill Cove however we felt the hotel lacked ambience it’s functional but tired. The food was good location absolutely stunning very friendly staff.”

“Hotel in the most beautiful position - 5 minutes walk to the sandy cove and access to the coastal path. So dog walkers heaven. The staff were lovely throughout our stay. Our room was bright, comfortable and well equipped with patio doors to the outside. Great when you have dogs. The breakfasts were good and the dogs could join us. We ate dinner in the restaurant a couple of time and we were impressed. The freshest of fish. I had a wonderful facial and back and shoulder massage in the spa which was wonderful. My daughter and her friend made good use of the pool. A most enjoyable holiday. Would book again. Highly recommended.”

“From the moment we arrived we knew we’d made a fab choice. Our room opened out to a small patio with sea views and had all the usual comforts you’d expect. Our dog was warmly welcomed in the restaurant and bar every evening, and even got a treat at breakfast a few times! The COVID protocols were reassuring without feeling overbearing meaning we could use the spa and pool in comfort. But the highlight was the staff, all of whom were lovely and welcoming throughout our stay. We will definitely be returning!”
