Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Although I have ticked good value for money, I would say it was on the expensive end for the room etc.

“The hotel is in an excellent location - right by the beach and also very close to The Lanes and other good shopping streets. The room made Crumb feel very comfortable with a lovely bed and clean bowl for him to use. It is clear that dogs are welcome and we were put at ease from the moment we arrived. Would come again.”

“Arrived after a 4 hour journey to be told they couldn’t find my booking. Eventually found it after I showed them proof. Found the room to be very dated and a little on the chilly side. Took a while to get hot water in the room. Mold in the bathroom (possibly because there is no extractor fan). None of this is because it is an old building- I live in an old house and have hot water on demand and warm rooms. It is because of a lack of maintenance. The entire building is looking tired and shabby which is a shame. Old buildings need to be maintained regularly and this does not appear to be the case at the Old Ship. Price is far too much and does not represent good value for money (we could have stayed in The Grand for same amount) Having said that the location is excellent and we did have a slight sea view from the room. I also liked the ‘Do not disturb dog in room’ sign.”

“The room was very tired and shabby - just Luke warm water for shower - and tge place was heaving with hen parties or similar.”

“Lovely location if slightly tired rooms. Very clean and the staff were amazing. We're disappointed the dogs couldn't eat with us. But there were plenty of treats off everyone. Would go again.”

“My whippet Loki and I had a fantastic time staying 4 nights at the Old Ship. All the staff are so fantastic and absolutely adored Loki. This is the most dog friendly hotel we have ever stayed. We had dinner there almost every night too and the restaurant was also really good. Will definitely come back!”

“We had a fabulous holiday at The Old Ship Hotel. Staff couldn't be more helpful!! The breakfast was amazing with all tastes catered for, we also had an evening meal in the hotel, which was lovely. Our dog was made to feel welcome and everyone made a big fuss of her, bed and bowl were all in the room upon our arrival. Special mention goes to Isabel in Housekeeping who went the extra mile for us when our daughter was unwell. Only slight downside was that one of the lifts was out of order and there are a few areas of the hotel that need updating.....this didn't spoil our holiday at all. Big thumbs up!!!”
