We stayed in a standard room, which was OK, if a little on the basic side. The bathroom only had a mixer shower coming off the bath taps, which was a bit tricky to get a good temperature on. Also, our room was incredibly hot, even with the windows wide open so we slept badly. It was also next to a very heavy fire door and every time someone walked through it slammed shut very loudly, which our dog didn't enjoy. The breakfast was good, especially the Glamorgan sausage on the veggie breakfast. We found the evening meals to be a bit lacking. We found that the more basic 'pub grub' style dishes were best. I was surprised to find that they had no malt vinegar though, and was offered balsamic for my chips! We liked that our dog could join us for our meals, but it did mean we ate all our meals alone in a separate room to everyone else and therefore lacked any atmosphere for us. There was a very short dog walk at the rear of the property, which was fine for our girl to take loo breaks, but not long enough to call it a walk for us. We were able to walk to Crickhowell easily from the hotel, which has many very dog-friendly pubs and cafes. As well as being a great starting point for lots of lovely walks, both long and short. We'll definitely be going back to Crickhowell, though we will likely find somewhere else to stay next time.

Not very impressed. The room was basic, overlooking the staff quarters, boiler heard most of the night. No drawers in one room, below expectations. Food very expensive, and not what expected. However the staff where very friendly, helpful so could not fault them.

My mum told me if I couldn’t say something positive I shouldn’t say anything! I don’t normally post negative feedback. These guys changed our room, tried to palm us off with something dreadful. Small dark and poor! Views over the back yard and a very noisy air conditioning unit! We refused it and left. Staff not overly apologetic, tried to say we had booked a standard room. I showed them our confirmation email which stated otherwise. As I had seen on another review (on a different site) a guest's room had been downgraded, I rang the hotel prior to arrival to check the type of room we had booked. All was confirmed, however as previously mentioned this was not offered to us upon arrival. From what we saw the hotel and experienced both the hotel and Management need upgrading. Extremely disappointing after a 3 plus hour drive!!!

The Manor Hotel was really amazing, they were all really dog friendly, the room was great, the food was great, the staff were great and the grounds were beautiful, all my dog did was smile and his tail was wagging constantly. I will be going back again it was so relaxing and beautiful

Minnie our Schnauzer could breakfast and dine with us as there are dining tables adjacent to the main dining room for guests with dogs. We had a 'better room' which was fine although the bathroom was compact. The food was variable however the hotel was quiet so may of not been fully staffed. Crickhowell and the surrounding area was lovely for walks and had many dog friendly pubs and cafes.
