“Excellent room with dogs food & water bowls, treats and a lovely dog bed. Room was large too so very comfortable with my dog. Amazing staff at reception esp Paige who was more than happy to help with anything. I even asked for a fridge and that was duly delivered to the room. Hillfield Bar was great for breakfast and dinner. Swinley forest direct access makes walks interesting as well as walks around the grounds spotting deer, rabbits, squirrels. Very enjoyable and relaxing stay. My 2 additional things I would have liked is an onsite dog walker/sitter employed by Pennyhill even if at additional charge so that myself and my daughter could have enjoyed the spa together for a few hours instead of either leaving him in the room or ring unknown to me dog sitter ... plus i would have liked to have the hillfieldbar menu food served at the lillypond terrace too as that is outside and i had already paid for dinner. That would have made it perfect. Esp as the weather was amazing. My dog was definitely made to feel welcome so I am pleased we had him with us. Thankyou”

“What a fun dog-friendly family weekend!!! The hotel is wonderful, with beautiful rooms. Good food, fantastic nature walks, the Spa and swimming pools are great. will be back there soon :)”

“The three of us had a lovely time at pennyhill Park. The room was perfect, opening directly on to the grounds. Our dog rocco loved the nature walk. About a km circuit with lots of woodland and open space for him to run around and try and chase rabbits. The hotel staff were lovely and dog sat when we wanted to use the spa after checking out. The spa is amazing. Dinner was very nice.”

“Fantastic 2 night stay in a beautiful hotel and surrounding grounds. Dogs made to feel very welcome with beds and treats already in the room and are allowed with you everywhere barring the spa, bar and restaurant. Had booked a table in the Hillfield restaurant but asked for our meal to be brought to our room which was no trouble at all and also still restaurant quality! Will definitely visit again!”

“Whilst the hotel grounds are fantastic we were limited to eating in the drawing room. The drawing room is lovely but on arrival there was a corporate event and this is where they were storing the event equipment. No dogs near the spa or the restaurant/bar areas. The dog friendly room was also very shabby and not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Overall disappointed with the facilities.”

“My partner and I had a lovely stay with our dog at Pennyhill. The room was very spacious and the spa facilities are exceptional. They had good guidance to keep it covid safe. Our only issue was that there were a few things missing - one being the pet concierge. We had to ask reception to keep an eye on our dog when we wanted to use the spa but on one of the days they said this wasn’t possible. We also didn’t get any of the food promised for the dog. Lastly, we felt that either the hotel or petspyjamas could have made more of an effort to inform us about the need to pre-book the restaurant and spa treatments. We have stayed in other similar hotels where there was no problem with availability so it wasn’t an issue, and similarly other hotels have made an effort to inform us of the need to book in advance so as to not miss out. We very nearly missed out on the spa treatments we wanted as a result, with one compromise, and we were not able to eat at the Michelin star restaurant on site at all during our 3 night stay. This was very disappointing. There is also no communication between booking and the hotel so we were stuck with a massive bill at the end which we had to dispute. Doesn’t exactly leave you feeling well looked after!”
