“Wish we were there longer. Lovely Staff, nice food ,cosy ambience. I had an amazing facial whilst I was there ,Lynn the beautician, gave me a real ZEN experience. I didn't see any wings, but I'm sure she's an angel Thank you Jemma and all the lovely staff. We hope to come again. Teddy sends a woofer thank you too”

“We were delighted with our stay at Embleton Spa Hotel recommended and booked through Pets Pyjamas. Food was fabulous, staff were friendly and helpful. Our room (family room) was able to take 3 adults and a German Shepherd comfortably. The en suite was a little tired and in need of some repairs which I pointed out and which was well received. Visitors should be aware that there are no convenient walks with the dog which doesn't require a drive first. Nice local pub too.”

“It reminded me of the hotel in Twin Peaks (1990 s tv series) albeit it smaller. Management were young alternative (which I personally quite like) , the chef was creatively broadminded and put some Korean dishes on the menu. Food was nice, pristine in cleanliness and service was good. The rooms are small but this is a converted farm so all to scale. I wouldn’t call this a Spa hotel though, it has a smal indoor pool and gym but nothing else”

“I can not put into words what a wonderful weekend we had at the Embleton SPA hotel everything was perfect food was amazing room lovely but most of all the staff were wonderful - we will certainly be going back very soon We can not recommend it highly enough”

“Very disapointed. Usually in a good hotel and was expecting that being Pets Pyjamas there would be a welcome pack for our 2 little Jack Russells…nothing! We usually get bowls, biscuits, poo bags, towels and even sometimes dog beds. Seems very expensive at £150:00 per night, when our bathroom was the size of a triple wardrobe, room clean but bland and soulless. There is an indoor swimming pool but mostly booked out for swimming lessons and open to the public. Also entrance to pool just inside front door where people leave shoes etc, very cramped area and busy. Didn’t use the gym but instuctors very friendly, as were most of the staff. Food very good, had 2 evening meals, but I usually like croissants for breakfast, no pastries at all. Also the toilet facilities downstairs left a lot to be desired. Could be problems parking for residents with all the swimming lessons. Just very disapointed, my husband feels the same, and not somewhere we would recommend or go back to.”

We pride ourselves not only on our wonderful Pet Concierge Team, but also on the fantastic properties we work with, so we are sorry we didn't get it quite right on this occasion. Embleton Spa Hotel has always been very popular for us, and as you can see from the reviews on our website, our customers are generally very happy with the hotel. We are therefore, sorry to hear this wasn't quite the case on this occasion. We work very closely with all our hotels so we will pass your comments onto the management team there, and continue to keep an eye on things to ensure everything is running smoothly. So thank you for bring this to our attention, we really appreciate it. Unfortunately, we no longer provide goodie bags with bookings. This has now been replaced with our new package - PriorityPaws. “My husband, myself + our dog stayed a long weekend at Embleton hotel, just great, good food, breakfast fab, reasonably priced drinks at bar. All staff so helpful with advice on walks, how to get places + Gemna sorted my massage for me the night before. A star. The rooms + hotel in general is immaculate. Will be back again for sure. Our dog had a ball too.”

“The location if you are wanting peace and quiet with fantastic views its the place to be. accommodation excellent food good choice to suit all needs , only a short drive to Cockermouth on a nice back road behind the accommodation”
