Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? The room was very good but the bathroom had a fly problem. Suspect that it was related to a drainage problem. Food and service at meals was of variable quality and never really rose above OK. There were a few things that we should have sent back and the service on our second evening was poor. Staff were elsewhere. Well chosen and good wine list and a good choice of beers although the local stuff wasnt available on our second evening. Again one beer I should have sent back.
We liked it and would stay again although we have some criticisms. Friendly staff and great location made up for these.

A fantastic break in the beautiful Heddon Valley. The Hotel was good, the room was as anticipated. Spacious and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Wonderful walks in every direction. The National Trust were very much in evidence working in the extensive woodlands, the footpaths being prepared for buggies and pushchairs so everyone can enjoy the superb scenery. The food was good and plentiful, and the bar was well stocked. The only downside (if you have difficulties) was the stairs, rather steep, especially on the second flight to the top rooms. Our dog enjoyed his stay very much, and would love to go again!!

Booked here for our dogs as no fireworks allowed in this peaceful valley. We stayed 3 nights, BB and evening meal. Room was spacious and warm. Food was very good, limited choice if you stay longer than 3 nights. There was a band on the Friday evening and a jazz group on Sunday evening. Lovely walks, make sure you take good walking boots and wet weather gear, plus dog towels. Hotel staff very welcoming, dog friendly too and the dogs are allowed anywhere in the hotel. Relaxing weekend, though we did walk and got soaked. Visited Valley of the Rocks on our way home. Exmoor ales and cider to be recommended.

Friendly staff and a good service for our party. Our spacious room was ideal for us and two medium sized dogs.Walks from the garden and surrounding paths were all good..The dinning room overlooking the grounds was delightful as was the good food. For us our elderly dog did find the stairs challenging
