“This hotel really does cater for dogs and their owners! A wonderfully situated hotel with magnificent views over Cardiff and the Bristol Chanel. It was easy to get to(providing the hotel's directions are followed!) and only a few miles to either Cardiff or Caerphilly. Our large, ground-floor room, with its own terrace and grass area, looked out over the wonderful view. Dogs and their owners, were well catered for in a very pleasant dining room, situated next to the bar,where we had breakfast every morning. The staff were all very friendly,efficient and helpful and all contributed to a great holiday!”

“This is our second visit to this hotel now and nothing has changed. Our dog was made to feel very welcome and the food was amazing. The views of Cardiff from the hotel are amazing too.”

“A hotel stay with an elderly mother and a young dog could have been stressful but the combination of brilliant staff, comfortable room and delicious meals made our stay a breeze. The views over Cardiff from the room were breathtaking, the wooden floors made it easy to deal with muddy paws and the en suite walk in shower was ideal. Breakfast was piping hot with a great choice, dinner equally enjoyable. We will definitely be back.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? No Dog gifts for the dog like we have in the past I could of just booked direct

“Absolutely lovely! All staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Had 2 rooms both dog friendly and in a great position with doors opening to terrace and open grounds. The hotel itself is in a great location with stunning views, beautifully managed gardens and we enjoyed a delicious supper in the outside glass covered restaurant space. Will definitely make this a go to place in the future!”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? The bed was a bit on the hard side for us. 2 nights were enough.

“The Hotel was a little dated and basic but was a perfect stay for us with a dog. Had a room with patio doors to the gardens. Dog bed and bowls awaiting us. The chef gave Dino (our dog) a sausage for every meal. We ate at the hotel on both nights. There is a woodland walk around the outskirts of the hotel which we set off to do but found it was very muddy so turned back. Would be perfect in Summer. The staff were very nice and accommodating. We would stay again.”

“A lovely hotel, with great food and friendly staff. Our dog was made welcome by staff, but did draw a complaint from other guests shortly after arrival. This is a hotel where dog and non-dog-owning residents mix, so beware that your pet may not be appreciated by everyone.”

“Just back from 2 night stay and could not be happier. We had a fantastic room with loads of space for our golden doodle and her cage as well as 2 large comfortable beds, good quality full bathroom with walk in shower and access to outside terrace with fab views over Cardiff. Staff were so friendly and made lots of fuss of our pooch - this was our first hotel trip with a dog and would definitely stay here again. Thank you all very much”
