“Merry Harriers was nice and welcoming and clean and the staff very helpful (even offering to help to unload the car) Breakfast was good even if we only had it once (because of wanting to get out very early to enjoy the surrounding areas) The only downside was the size of the Garden room, this room is only suitable for a small dog we have a small greyhound (Rosie is about the size of a Spaniel at most) and found ourselves having to step over her to get to the bathroom”

“From the moment we arrived we and especially our Dog Hardy were made to feel like old friends. The Shepherds hut was fantastic with everything we need for a short break and the food and atmosphere in the pub were great. We will definitely be returning.”

“I cannot recommend The Merry Harriers enough, they went out of their way to guarantee that we had a wonderful stay. Not all places would allow a huge German Shepherd (my dog) to be with me at all mealtimes and anywhere on site. He even came on the llama trek! All of the staff were lovely and very helpful, the food was incredible and the room was lovely. There are plenty of lovely walks in the surrounding area and lots to do. Would definitely visit again!”

“We had a lovely stay at the Merry Harriers it’s in an excellent location for long or short walks with varying levels of difficulty The owners have thought about dog owners and have added some extra touches to make your stay easier such as a dog shower along with a large towel in the room to dry them off all of which makes the stay even more comfortable and welcoming”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Had a really lovely time. Our dog was made to feel welcome even on the Llama trek and nothing was too much bother for everyone. Was made to feel very welcome

“We were welcomed and shown straight to our Garden room even thought we were early. We overlooked the fields where the Llamas were so we could lay in bed and watch them.”

“Samson had recently had a horrible operation and needed a break, so with the children away camping, the three of us snuck off to the Merry Harriers. It was wonderful! Beautiful garden room, cosy and comfortable, with a view over a field of llamas and alpacas - a few steps from our delicious dinner and Samson's chicken and gravy meal. The staff were charming, there were lovely walks around the pub - altogether perfect for all three of us.”
