We spent a brilliant 3 nights in a Shepherds Hut at the Merry Harriers. The hut was beautiful with luxury touches such as marshmallows to go with our fire pit, gorgeous smelling toiletries, and warm blankets to wrap up in. The food in the pub was great and the service was excellent at every point, super welcoming staff our dog couldn't wait to meet every morniing! Everything was perfectly set up for our dog, including a dedicated wash station, treats, waterbowls and even bedding. The setting is brilliant and we spent our days walking the local area, with routes and suggestions even provided for us.

My husband and I, and our little dog Lily stayed in one of the Shepherd’s Huts for 3 nights, it is the best dog-friendly experience we had in the UK so far. The huts are super cute, unique, clean, well equipped, on our arrival there was a dog bed, 2 bowls, treats, poo bags and a brand new toy for Lily. The view from our hut was stunning, and the whole area of Hambledon village is beautiful. We had breakfast and dinner every day at the pub, it was excellent, staff very attentive and kind, and listen to this: Lily got a cooked sausage every morning! Martine and her team was very helpful and kind, when we asked for guide tips they were very quick to give recommendations, ie. we visited the nearby town, Godalming on the recommendation of Martine. We also did the llama trek experience, you MUST book it if you visit! We never met llamas and to walk them with the guides (Clara and Liz who’ve been also super kind) is the most relaxing feeling you’ll ever experience. We will be definitely returning, and cannot recommend this little gem enough, especially if you’re looking for a dog friendly stay in the UK!

We stayed with our dog over the weekend. Great room, nice walks around, very clean, good breakfast, good beer. 2 issues 1. No pet bed or even a bowl was provided in the room despite booking through petspyjamas. Luckily, we travel prepared. 2. They close the kitchen at 5.30pm on Sundays, which is normally fine but not when you have guests staying overnight and you are located in the middle of nowhere. I have diabetes and I had to order takeaway through JustEat because restaurants are not dog friendly. Having no dinner service on Sundays was not an easily available information when i was booking. Just keep booking closed on Sundays! It's unacceptable to have a difference of 15+ hours between meals. I will not be returning. Honestly, I may not even use pets pyjamas as I had mentioned it was a special birthday weekend and I was happy to pay for extras and mentioned in the notes everywhere. Nobody - petspyjamas or the pub cared.

Wonderful stay in the Llama garden room so delightful to wake up & see the Llamas right outside the French doors just perfect. Lovely patio area with a fire pit, logs & marshmallows to toast. We had our evening meal & breakfast which was all very tasty & good sized portions. If you have a dog it is just perfect, lovely walks, it even had a toy & treats in the welcome pack !! We felt the staff went above & beyond to make us feel welcome !! Thank you for making our stay so lovely, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this little gem & would highly recommend it to anyone…..Kim, Ash & Bella

We were warmly welcomed at The Merry Harriers and our Springer Bella was made very welcome everywhere! She had a bed, treats, bowls and a toy ready for her in our Garden Room. We had lots of lovely walks from the door and the food was great too! The staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating!

A last-minute booking took us to Merry Harriers and we felt very lucky to get a room there. It was so peaceful, the rooms were clean and nicely decorated and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were friendly, and helpful and went the extra mile for us. We'd definitely recommend it.

The location was perfect for dog walking. The food and drink selection available in the pub was very good. The staff are very friendly and loved the dog. The room was a tight fit for us with our beagle. The outside area was brilliant. We met the llamas which was delightful. Would stay again but in one of the shepherd huts.
