“Went to Knoll House Hotel with my sister and our dogs for a short break. We had a wonderful time. The location of the hotel is so special if you like walks on the beach and in the woods. Our room was very comfortable, the food and service was excellent and the staff are extremely friendly. It’s quite old fashioned but in a good way.”

“We felt very relaxed at Knoll House as they made us all feel welcome and comfortable. Salty, our dog, was welcome in most areas so we could all be together.”

“Built in 1931 with a fabulous guest list… Enid Blyton , Winston Churchill and Richard Branson. Guests have been coming to this hotel for many years on repeat visits. The reason soon becomes apparent. A warm welcome for your dog and you from Mary on reception. Fabulous food, friendly staff and a wonderful location. The hotel is a few minute walk to a crescent sandy beach that is dog friendly October - April. The bay is managed by The National Trust.”

“An old fashioned hotel with loads of charm. Lovely staff and made to feel very welcome. Just a word of caution, whilst this is a fog friendly hotel, you are not able to take dogs into the dining room and the only place you can dine with your dog is on sofas in a small lounge area. We were able to eat breakfast from this area but it was not suitable for eating a three course dinner.”

“Lovely old fashioned traditional hotel a short walk from the beach. Helpful friendly staff. Clean room, crisp sheets, a comfortable bed, fluffy towels and Elemis products. Good food, well presented and amazing selection of deserts to chose from. We enjoyed the heated outdoor swimming pool. Woodland walks. Crochet on the lawn. There is lots to keep you entertained should you desire. Our border collie was made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Will definitely book again.”

“Knoll House is just as I remembered from the late 70's the best location and lovely staff, however the hotel itself is very tired and the owners need to bring back its sparkle.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Disappointed as it could have been a lot better by simple gestures. Our adjoining room in a 2 bed suite was kept locked for a day. The room was shabby and felt like a hospital room as ther was a wash basin in the room and not in the bathroom. No housekeep

“On the positive side the food and hospitality especially of the restaurant manager and waiting staff was excellent. The hotel is well located for driving to walking spots with dogs. The bedrooms have tiny TV's, were not clean (dusty), very dated bathrooms, lack of thought of furnishings and housekeeping staff did not even tidy our rooms on any day.”
