Firstly we were so lucky with the weather but overall an excellent stay in a classic English hotel. Seeing so many other four legged friends was brilliant and the hotel clearly love dogs. We had a few first floor rooms, both excellent size , both with plenty of opening windows so you can control the perpetual heat but for is the very best bit was the ease to access the woods at the rear and within 10mins you are on the stunning beach at Studland - beat that! The ferry being closed only made the road quieter and nearby swanage has plenty of dog friendly places and our favourite is on the pier called 1859 cafe and bistro or Love Cake on the High Street. Totally recommend.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? No dog treats in the room, as has been in all other bookings we have made through your company.
We travelled 150 miles for a weekend treat at this hotel. Arriving early we went into the bar to order some food, a bowl of soup, a club sandwich and a latte. My latte came within 10 minutes however the food took an hour. The room is absolutely great for disabled people, which I am, however it went down hill from then. As we had a dog we knew we could not eat in the restaurant but they took us to a lounge where they expected us to sit on low sofa's and eat from coffee tables, being disabled this was totally unsuitable. We asked the Manager if they could put a small table and two chairs in a corner, he refused point blank and would not offer an alternative, so we drove 150 miles at 7.00pm to get home, Never again!!!

The staff were lovely. The accommodation was reflective of the 70's but clean. The niggles are not major but definitely impacted the stay. The room was not made up after the first night. the tea and coffee tray had a packet of 3 bourbons between two of us (I don't share too well!). The restaurant was clean but there really was no gluten-free option. Anything containing gluten was removed from the meal. eg cheese board became a board of cheese. No substitution for the crackers, I had to ask for some bread or something. I won't be returning there which is a shame as its location is perfect.

Knoll House Hotel is a gem of a place. It's a little like stepping back in time but in a good way. The welcome is warm and genuine. The rooms are comfortable (not modern but a very good standard). The staff are friendly, approachable and helpful. The hotel is genuinely dog friendly. Never before has Bert been greeted and treated so warmly. Walks from the door, stunning views and very good food (the afternoon tea is fantastic) make this a great place to visit.

Brilliant staff and friendly atmosphere. Genuinely dog friendly. Despite being old and looking tired from the outside the place exudes charm and has a very happy feel about it, thanks largely to the great staff, location and facilities. Loved it
