“Shocked when we arrived and saw the condition of the hotel building. Then the so called garden suites, Mmmm well they were certainly not suites and there was no garden. The staff were pleasant but there was no atmosphere. The only thing that rescued the place was the amazing position and views, and lovely walks, but this place needs serious refurbishment or knocking down and rebuilding.”

“Location and setting ideal for the comfort of dogs and their owners. Especially,once across the road from the hotels beautiful lawns you and your family ,dogs and humans ,have the freedom to walk around the hotels golf course and then walk for miles thro`sand dunes where motorised vehicles cannot go. For those who wanted or needed to eat with their pooches there was an ideal area available adjacent to the main dining area and incidentally even though there were many pets and young children in residence ,one wasn`t aware of that. My only contention was the surprise in the surcharges added to the "extras "account on leaving . regards Robert Griffiths & Co”

“A classic old English hotel..the location, ambiance, decor and service gave us a wonderfully faded nostalgia for times gone by.. Knoll house hotel feels like it’s from another time and place. Perhaps some might feel it’s a little too faded but for us it was so warm snd friendly we accepted it for what it is - a bit like staying with a favourite aunt and uncle - we loved it as did our kids. And our dog Gnocchi lapped it all up - from running freely into the nearby beach to feeling at ease from the warm and friendly dog loving people she encountered. We’ll stay again not because its the best or most fancy, but because it helped us slow down, unwind and relax. Wonderful.”

“Fab location and everything you want from a hotel by the beach for you and your dog. Great interiors, very 1930s and all the better for it. They just need to get a good gardener and a bit more tlc and it's sorted. We loved it and will most definitely be back.”

“This has got to be the the worst hotel we have stayed in they do not give treats to the dogs they do not supply any meals for the dog they charged me £3.50 for 4 small slices of meat you have to sit on very low and uncomfortable setttees with a single coffee table apart we left the dog in the room while we had dinner one night and it was bad they served you your course then you had to attract their attention because they seemed to forget you was there I would not recommend this hotel to anyone”

“Lovely hotel and wonderful surroundings. Moor land and beautiful beaches. Really good food. Very clean and beautifully presented hotel rooms. Staff could not have done more to help us enjoy our stay. Can’t wait to go back.”
