The cabin was very comfortable stay. Food was good. Staff made you feel very welcome and the dog liked the walks near by.

The clientele, food and accommodation was excellent at The Thomas Lord. Quaint village pub with lovely walks over the South Downs National Park with our active spaniel, on the doorstep. Returned to a lovely meal by the roaring fire. Will definitely return.

on arrival, we were met by a kind and welcoming response from the bar staff who made a fuss of our boxer pup. the food was good as was the service and beer. the rooms were well turned out and clean with a good choice of beverages, ie tea and coffee. the room is on its own so very quiet and warm, the floor is clean but slippery. the manager was most helpful with anything we asked. walks are near and the old railway line was great for our pup.

We were visiting family near Southampton so this was a good location for us. Other venues nearer had restrictions on the number and size of dog we could bring. We have a German Shepherd nearly 50 kgs and a beagle. The Thomas Lord had no such restrictions and the chalet type accommodation in the pub garden was ideal for us and our 2 dogs. Plenty of room and everything you need for a short break. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast in the pub very good. There was a dog walk nearby. The pub staff were very friendly

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? The accommodation area is not secure, as the wooden entrance door was in need of repair. Also the pub garden has a small gate that doesn’t close, which resulted in our dog and a small toddler exiting onto the main road. Both issues re. unsecured gates wer
Very dog friendly, although no dog bed, bowls or treats were made available in our accommodation. The team are always willing to help with any requests or issues. Great choice of breakfasts and our dog was given either scrambled eggs or sausages on request. They weee clearly short staffed when it came to cleaning/maintenance of our accommodation. However, Iain, Robbie, Martha and Roxy, made us feel very welcome and looked after, thank you.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Please clean the cabins properly, secure the outside and its a winner
Stayed 4 nights in the cabins which were not cleaned properly at all, cobwebs on ceiling, crumbs etc on floor, wash basin not cleaned and oddments left in drawers, used nespresso pods in machine which was also full of old coffee, also dish full of old cigarette ends on outside table and loads of rotting fallen fruit on floor outside. Gardens are NOT enclosed contrary to what it says on the Pets Pyjamas website. The plus side, food was great, staff very helpful and friendly and pub had lovely atmosphere & very dog friendly, good facilities in all cabins and great showers with loads of hot water, village is lovely and countryside around beautiful with loads of walks

My husband and I took our little dog along with us for a two day break at the Thomas Lord - the rooms are ideally located at the end of the pub garden, with plenty of space and even air con (much needed due to the hot weather at the time). The food was excellent and the staff were really accommodating (they could not have been nicer when our dog managed to knock over a table!). We found some excellent walks in the area too - Old Winchester Hill was particularly beautiful - and I can highly recommend going at the crack of dawn (due to the heat, we had to get out early). We will definitely be returning.

Quiet, comfortable, clean room, if a little crowded with two Goldies. We were nearest the garden which I imagine could get noisy in the summer. Car parking a problem when we arrived on Sunday, very busy with all day food. However, the staff are very friendly, the evening meal was good and breakfast excellent. Dog treats on the bar and an offer of breakfast sausage for the girls. What’s not to like.
