“We have just arrived back and had a wonderful 2 night stay. The lodge allocated was huge and had every amenity needed to make our stay fantastic. Bathroom with jacuzzi bath, seperate shower cubicle and twin sinks. Zeus was left doggy biscuits and poo bags. We told the housekeepers he loved pears as they had left a fruit bowl with a pear in it and they brought him another and made a great fuss of him. The restaurant was dog friendly and had seperate areas to sit. It was a lovely clean hotel with fabulous staff. An 8 course tasting menu was included in our PetsPyjamas deal and the food was fantastic. Highly recommended book a lodge room and you wont be disappointed”

“Our 2nd visit, really like it here. The lodges are huge, with massive bed, very nice bathroom, and equipped with all you could need. The girls front of house are very friendly hard working and efficient. A small maintenance issue in our room was rectified promptly. The food is very good with the kitchen producing lovely meals with local, and home grown ingredients. We shall definitely stay here again should we return to this part of the country.”

“We really enjoyed our weekend at Battlesteads, great location and the staff all looked after us well. The food was amazing and a special Mention has to go to Denisa, the Restaurant Manager, who made sure we wanted for nothing from the minute we checked in until we left. I would definitely recommend a trip.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? I would skip the summer star gazing. The dark sky is not available in the summer, so waste of time.

“This place is ran to perfection by the friendly, attentive staff. I have never stayed anywhere that was ran so well. The lodge felt comfortable and luxurious with lots of attention to detail and thoughtful touches. Food presentation excellent, and delicious. Max our dog had lots of attention and enjoyed the walled garden. Truly faultless, and we look forward to returning.”

“My wife, Amber the Labrador, and I have just returned from a very relaxing two night break in one of the hotel's lodge rooms. Very comfy with an amazing bath room the room was fab. The food was very good, the tasting menu was well worth it if you do the deal. Excellent breakfast, we have booked to go again in the autumn.”
