Did you feel your stay was good value for money? Yes

“We have visited Battlesteads numerous times over many years. The standard of accommodation & friendliness of staff is excellent. Chef Eddie & his team produce lovely food, both at dinner & breakfast. We recommend the Yarl Northumbrian draught pale ale- but the wines are also good Our dog loves the holidays too- especially the walks along the Tyne. Bluebells are in nearby woods & grey & white heron & oyster catchers are among many birds in the village. Fully recommended”

“This is the second time we have returned to this hotel and it was just as good as the first time! Highly recommend everything from staff cleanliness were excellent The food was amazing to say the least! We payed a little extra for the chalet and it was well worth it, spotless and large, the bathroom was out of this world with large walk in shower and a large jacuzzi bath. Can’t recommend enough! We had our dog with us”

“We stayed here for a few days with our King Charles Cavalier Fynn. The hotel was excellent, we had the summer special with a 8course tasting menu on the first night included in the price and Wow! ! We have stayed in a few very expensive hotels and this one is definitely up there We had a superior chalet (beautiful!) They catered well for the dog with a box of treats,poo bags and a toy, there’s also a outside bath to wash mucky pup’s paws The staff were really friendly, the hotel and chalet were spotless, we had a lovely decking with garden furniture and flower pots, beautiful! Food wise The presentation of the food was of an excellent standard (wow!) and could quite easily have been of a 5* hotel quality, obviously a great chef! This review is genuine, sounds 2 good to be true but it really is. So, if you’re looking for a stay in Northumberland with or without your dog, give this place a visit - you will not be disappointed l! The Owner of the hotel was around chatting to the residents, I think an extra special touch, my husband and I are from Scotland and my husband was telling him about special Rums made in Aberdeenshire, Scotland (Dark Matter adding ginger beer, for dark rum lovers!) and he said he’d have it there for our next visit. We will definitely be back, hopefully soon, with our pup Thank you Pets Pajamas for highlighting this little treasure to us!”

“From the moment we arrived till we left we could not be any happier the staff are very helpful and friendly they was amazing,our accommodation was outstanding and comes with wow factor.There was a welcome pack for Toby which he absolutely loved room was very spacious and comfortable the bathroom was amazing,the food is outstanding and very nice on our second day after been out most of the morning till early afternoon we fully enjoyed the great beer garden enjoying a nice drinks and chill with our dog enjoying the warm weather we will definitely be coming back to stay longer next time.”

“The hotel is in a pretty village where there are some lovely walks. Our room was well equipped and clean. The staff were really friendly. We had the 8 course taster menu which we thoroughly enjoyed although it was a struggle to finish all the courses! Lupa loved her little box of treats too. We have stayed here before in a lodge and although our room this time was fine, I really like the lodge. Unfortunately, they are snapped up quickly.”

Did you feel your stay was good value for money? yes

“The Battlestead’s Hotel, with its amazing Superior lodges. We had the privilege of staying at one of the lodges, which was outstanding in every aspect you could ask for. The staff were very helpful and helped us with anything we needed. Restaurant was welcoming for ourselves and our dog, the food was fresh products and service was very quick. The only downside to the menu was if you stayed there for 3 to 4 days it’s the same menu, which we feel it would of been nice each day to have special from the chef that you could also of chosen from, but over all the food was amazing. We had a fabulous stay and would just like to thank everyone that made this possible.”
