We stayed at the Goodwood hotel with our dog for the night. The Goodwood estate is beautiful. We were a little disappointed by our room - it was a very basic twin room and very very dark! We paid £30 for our dog to stay which is quite steep when you’re provided a cushion for the dog to sleep on, a water bowl and 3 dog biscuits. The interior in the hotel reception area and farmer butcher chef restaurant and bar are very stylish, yet the bar and grill area and spa area need updating! The steam room was also out of order which was disappointing, and the bath robes and slippers provided are poor quality. The staff are friendly and welcoming. If you want better food and setting, head up to the kennels for a drink and snacks

From the moment we arrived everything & everyone was perfect. The incredibly friendly staff were so attentive. We booked and ate at the FBC restaurant all 3 nights. The menu was the same yet the varying, creative dishes meant we had something different every night and would struggle to say which was the best. They all were! We also want to give a big call out to the staff at the restaurant who gave us a very warm welcome and really made the experience memorable. THANK YOU

Very pet and family friendly hotel close to lovely beaches for long sandy walks, the South Downs for country walks as well as some very charming towns. Great to have the pool and spa which are both excellent! Food caters for family (and dogs!) as well as more high end so a good choice of restaurants too.

We stayed at The Goodwood Hotel for 3 nights. The estate is really beautiful and we were satisfied with our room- it was a good size and treats/set up for Pepper our poodle were fantastic. The dog was welcomed all round the hotel. There are a couple points which let it down- we had friends staying in another room and strangely our bed was extremely hard compared to theirs. We also had no bath which is disappointing when staying for 3 nights to truly unwind. We tried to book The Restaurant Farmer, Butcher Chef and were told we needed to ring them but no one ever answered the phone and then they didn’t open at all one night due to staffing so we wasted our time ringing then to realise other people were able to arrange tables at reception. We also checked in at 18.15pm and were told about The Kennels as an option to visit - so we followed the 8pm google maps closing time and ventured on a long walk to The Kennels to then find out it closed at 18.30pm and we don’t know why we were not informed by Reception. Breakfast on the first morning we booked for 10am and waited to be seated for 7mins as we were ignored by staff so I grabbed someone and said should we just sit anywhere and then they asked were we just there for drinks because it was 10.20 by the time they came to us and they said breakfast finished at 10.30am which then made us extremely angry after being ignored. The following two days the service was great. We ate the first night in the grill after our long trek to try and find The Kennels but the food was lovely and staff were great!!! We then had dinner nearby in other pub hotels that they recommended and it was fantastic. So after constant ringing for several days to try and get a booking at The Goodwood Hotels restaurant I’m glad we found some amazing places that we would definitely visit again (also very dog friendly) and also noticed some were listed on Pets Pyjamas website! I don’t think we will be back at Goodwood again.
