Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? A mix up with the rooms when checking in - we were given key to an already occupied room! Also no record of our free cocktail we should have received by booking via PetsPyjamas so had to chase that down.
The hotel and facilities were lovely, beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms and spa was great. However we were a bit disappointed with how dog friendly the hotel was given it was advertised as a genuinely warm welcome for dogs. No dog bed in room when we arrived (was rectified but far too small for our dog) and dogs not allowed in either of the 2 restaurants. This should have been made clearer on booking as we were not aware. Dogs allowed in the bar lounge which served smaller plates/snacks. Food in general wasn't great but staff were all very friendly.

We booked our weekend away through Pets Pyjamas at Down Hall, and both have shown how first class service is so easily managed..! Starting with the booking process and organisation through to our stay there.. everything was seamless.. Down Hall really have put other hotels to shame, very abundantly outstanding in their facilities, dining and service during our time there.. showing how easy it is to accommodate families and doggo.. They truly went out of their way to make our stay a fabulous weekend.. Thanks to all at Pets Pyjamas and Down Hall..!

Booked into Down Hall to make the most of the additional coronation bank holiday around my birthday as I'd heard good things about it on a Dog-Friendly Facebook page that I follow. Was able to find a way to book the relevant trip via Pets Pyjamas and booked in for a three-night stay with my blind staffie and my partner. Down Hall is a beautiful building set in extensive grounds and is genuinely dog-friendly not just dog-tolerant, dogs are allowed in a lot of places around the hall, not in the main restaurant but the bar accommodates humans bringing their canine companions along too. The staff were great, it sometimes felt that at busy times they were a little overstretched but they were polite, cheerful and accommodating. The patio room we were assigned had direct access to the grounds to facilitate travelling with your dog and on the grounds it was permitted to allow the dog to exercise off-lead which mine really enjoyed discovering all the new scents and sounds of a more rural location to East London. A doggy bed, bowl and welcome pack were provided though we did seem to misplace the purple tennis ball somewhere in the room! I visited the spa, having booked well in advance and would probably take the opportunity to use the wet spa on another occasion as hope to be able to visit again soon.

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Cannot wait to go back in the Summer to make the most of the gardens. Dog friendly room was spotless and a dog bed and water bowl were provided. Lots of space to eat inside with the dog and everyone was very accommodating. Access directly from the room into the garden which is perfect for early mornings without traipsing through the hotel.
