“Great hotel with friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere and you really feel looked after. Just like going to a family homevwith your dog. Coastal path is on the doorstep if you want amazing views or you can try the challenging walk to lizard point. Spa facilities wonderful.”

“The spa and location of the hotel was perfect. We found it dog tolerant , rather than dog friendly. Service in the restaurant and Grill was a bit hit and miss.”

“Superior Room with Sea views, excellent with great size room, immaculately clean would not know dogs allowed, excellent service throughout, very friendly staff, spa amazing but make sure you book in advance as busy. Definitely stopping again.”

“We had to cancel our post Christmas visit at the last minute due to an upsetting and serious family emergency. We were not offered any alternative dates, sympathy or understanding and they took the full price of the booking £480 for 2 nights simply quoting t&c. So much for customer care and Xmas spirit.”

“Lovely location, fabulous building and spa facilities. Doggy was made very welcome in the lounge and bar area, even got free sausages from the staff at brekky. Room was pleasant but could do with a little updating, i.e no mini fridge and a little dated especially in the bathroom.”

“A beautiful Art Deco hotel, and friendly staff. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Although advertised as dog friendly we couldn't dine in the restaurant, only in the bar. Not really a problem, as the bar was very comfortable. I've marked it down because we'd ordered a Dover Sole each for dinner. We waited about an hour for our food, having chased the waiters, and when it arrived it wasn't cooked well - the fish was still 'wet' and the vegetables and potatoes were hard. Also, there didn't seem to be any flexibility in how the fish was cooked or served up, which was strange! The staff were very apologetic and did offer alternatives but I think it was too little, too late.”

“We had the Garden Suite which was ideal for four of us plus our bulldog. It was convenient and pleasant being able to eat in the bar area for any meals we took there. Everyone was friendly to us and the dog. A good stay for us all.”
