We checked in on one of the hottest days of the year. Alas my husband doesn’t do hot very well, so as there was no air conditioning anywhere in the nice hotel, I mean anywhere, not even in the public areas, so it was overbearingly hot and uncomfortable for us. So alas my husband insisted on leaving! So I can’t comment on room, food etc as we arrived, had a drink took the dog for a walk and then got straight back in the car!

We have just returned from a wonderful two night stay at Tewkesbury Park. We had booked a dog-friendly room through Pets Pyjamas and our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Duke, was very spoilt! Luxury dog bed, bowls and treats in the room, and the doggy breakfast of sausage and scrambled egg went down very well! We had a delicious afternoon tea on arrival, equally tasty three-course meal on the first night, and both had a spa treatment. The pool area and outside seating was very clean and well-kept. The staff were extremely polite and helpful throughout our stay, we were able to sit outside for all of our meals which was very much appreciated in the current circumstances. The staff all continued to wear masks, despite this no longer being a legal requirement, and the way the breakfast buffet was served with no touching by guests was reassuring. The only thing to be aware of is that there is no air conditioning in the rooms (we stayed when it was over 30 degrees) but they did provide a fan which helped. Would definitely go back to this hotel.

We felt so well looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The staff are really friendly and cannot do enough to help you, remembering your dog's name, making special arrangements for birthdays & re-stocking your room with tea bags etc really quickly when you request as they're not doing daily cleaning etc. The only areas for improvement I can see are a few more staff for restaurants / bars - the set up for the continental section at breakfast doesn't make sense that you can't physically pick up the food but it's out on display anyway - it would make more sense for people to just order it from a menu or a few more staff on hand to help as the people there were slammed. The bathroom for the dog friendly rooms are a bit old and outdated, not that we wanted to have a luxurious bath anyway, but it was more functional than welcoming. The above didn't hamper our experience at all and would definitely reture

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? We were given afternoon tea which I found disappointing, as the scones were dry, however the breakfasts and dinner were superb
The hotel, the room and organisation were wonderful. The dogs were greeted and in our room had their own beds and food and treats, as well as a doggy breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful if a little slow to serve.

The Staff were so lovely nothing was ever too much trouble the service and food was outstanding and we was never left waiting long, we had our meals with our dogs in the piano room. They went the extra mile to make us and our dogs feel welcome, the treatments we had were a back massage and facial which were also amazing and girls were lovely, we couldn’t stay for afternoon tea but the staff again were amazing and did us a pack up. The rooms also had lovely dog treats and biscuits for us humans and a coffee machine which was a lovely touch, we had a fabulous weekend away and will be definitely coming back soon for the third time we would recommend to all our friends A*****

We had a nice stay at Tewkesbury. Overall staff were friendly and warm in particular the ladies at breakfast were super helpful so were the team at the swimming pool! The room was comfortable and a travel cot was all ready and set up when we arrived in the room for our little one. Doggy treats were there presented well for our pooch! Complimentary tea water and biscuits. Clean and decent shampoo / cond. shower wash etc available! To use their pool you need to turn up well beforehand to secure a spot! Arr around 10-15 mins as they work on a first come first serve basis. Then return again on the hour. Was stressful on the first day as we really wanted to secure a swimming slot for our daughter so my husband had to strictly ensure he arrived early just to make sure. Not really ideal if you want to unwind and have a relaxing break but have the stress of ensuring we got a spot at the pool! Also we had afternoon tea included with our package with a glass of champagne. The lady at the receptionist took our room number to include for the booking but didn't relay it to the staff so when we turned up they had no idea and was not expecting us. Made service slower than usual as they had to set the table and get it all ready etc. When I mentioned to the staff it included a glass of champagne she said she'll double checked with the male receptionist on the package we booked. He confirmed only the standard afternoon tea. I knew he was incorrect. And he was! This information should all be in the booking. I had to then go back search through emails and show her my confirmation that entitled all the finer details! She accepted and carried on serving our tea sandwiches and scones. Lovely cakes and scones, no raisin scones however no biggie. But the sandwiches were so salty, tasteless, soggy not pleasant at all that we couldn't eat them! By this time, there was no sign of the glass of champagne either! After downing our tea and scones we left and asked for the staff since they forgot to serve our champagne could they bring it up to our room. Not the nice champagne afternoon tea we expected esp if a special occasion. Staff need to be a little bit more attentive and communicate. Apart from this enjoyed our stay and breakfast and swimming each morning was pleasant!

We stayed for a 2 night break, on the Puddles Pet Package, in June 2021. Our cockapoo Penny was so well looked after at every opportunity at this gorgeous hotel! We had a lower ground floor room so Penny could pop out and have a wander very easily. The hotel provided a fantastic raised bed, with lovely food and water bowls and some food for her! She came with us to every meal, and was even served her own doggie dinner (chicken and green beans) and doggie breakfast (scrambled egg and sausage) each time we dined. The food at the hotel was amazing - fantastic flavours and just the right portion size. We honestly could not recommend this place enough!
