“This hotel was one of the most dog friendly hotels we've been to. Every staff member we encountered were amazing and so friendly. The hotel and grounds are amazing for the dogs and they've thought of everything. Food was excellent. We stayed in the suite which was gorgeous and had everything you could need. For the price this hotel is out of this world.”

“We arrived in the middle of storm Darragh with trees coming down all around (the roads around the hotel were shut just after we got there!). All the staff were charming and very welcoming throughout our stay and Bambi (the hound!) was given many treats. The dinners were absolutely delicious - really exceptional and in extremely difficult circumstances (powercuts, road closures, etc.) the team running The Fox and Hounds were efficient and lovely.”

“Excellent stay here, made to feel very welcome by all staff, nothing too much trouble, Dinner 5 star, breakfast excellent. Rooms comfortable, clean and cosy. They fully embrace dogs as part of your family, no restrictions on where you can take them, they can dine with you. Wonderful walks, and an exercise paddock. Train station within walking distance for a day trip.”

“Very comfortable and well equiped room. Great food. Amzaing grounds for the dogs to run around in. Best of all the staff were all amazing. We'll definitely be going back.”

“This is the first hotel I have ever stayed at that is truly dog friendly - there is no restriction on where the dogs can go - no segregation when eating etc, the grounds (6 acrea's) are amazing for dog walking. The food was out of this world and the staff were really friendly I have tried to add photo's but i can't then submit this review”

“Very dog friendly hotel with virtually every table at breakfast having a dog (all well behaved). Even though promoted as dog friendly, seems the only provision for dogs is by reception with no welcome pack or dog biscuits in the bedrooms. Upgraded to a suite at the end of the first floor and even though providing an extremely large space with a 4 poster bed and separate sitting room, it was evident that it was tired and needs refurbishemnt. The dinner was excellent including a starter and main for the inclusive package and a pint of cider to accompany each. Breakfast buffet was fine and even the scrabled egg was perfect, as usually quite rubbery in hotels. The grounds provided a pleasant place for a walk and see the tree house. Good value petspajamas package.”

“I can only add to what has already been written about this Hotel. From checking in to checking out , we were made to feel very wellcome by all the staff at the Fox and Hounds. The hotel maybe only 3* but the food is not, all the usuals were there and some amazing specials.Local produce used where possible and a decent bar that also served local beers and ciders. I am not sure the four poster bed impressed the dogs, but it did us. Both humans and Xolo's were sorry to leave.”
