Did you and your dog receive a warm welcome? yes
Did you feel your stay was good value for money? yes
From the time that we had arrived to the time we left, we were made to feel very welcome. The staff were friendly and highly efficient. Our two dogs loved the sausages at breakfast and the Egyptian cotton sheets! I would highly recommend The Mayflower!

We had a 3 night stay booked - our first visit to the Mayflower, and were very impressed with the whole experience. Our room was spotlessly clean, the housekeeping was to a very professional standard. A nice touch was that every morning a small bottle of fresh milk is placed outside every room for that morning brew! We ate every night in the restaurant and the service was very good, and all the staff were friendly & helpful. Great beer (Neck Oil - my favourite!) and very good food. Our only thoughts were that perhaps the menu was a little limited, with no “specials” but of course it’s been a tough time for the whole restaurant & pub industry with Covid restrictions & closures! The pub itself is in a great location, with a large well kept garden and loads of seating, plus a covered outside area too. It’s just a 5 minute walk into town and the coast path & marina are literally on the doorstep. We had a lovely relaxing break here and will definitely return!

Before our trip Lisa, our travel agent, was so lovely and able to find somewhere at such last minute by giving us two options within the requirements we needed. It was our puppy’s first stay away from home and we had a brilliant time. The staff at the Mayflower we’re so welcoming and accommodating and everyone wants above and beyond to make our stay extra special.

It's a lovely village pub with well maintained rooms. But you really are paying quite a lot to keep your dog's with you, we booked for new year and paid a premium due to the dates. There was no provision for a meal for new year and, apart from breakfast, we had to make our own arrangements for food or eat in the restaurant. However the staff are very attentive and no one is worried about the dogs being on site which makes for a relaxing break.
