We have just returned from a lovely stay at The Mayflower. We were in the family room which was a good size for both us and our two Labradors. Our dogs were welcomed and were right at home laying on the floor in the pub, smelling the delicious food plates go by. Staff were very friendly and the manager advised us of a good beach walk we could do, which the dogs loved btw. My one slight criticism (and reason I have only rated 4 stars) would be that we were told by the manager that last orders were at 10:30 and pub closed at 11, however, where the pub was very quiet, the staff closed the pub early and we were only given until 10:20 to drink up or take our drinks to our room. Staff were very pleasant about it, but still, I felt this was a little unfair, as although the pub wasn’t busy, WE were actually enjoying sitting by the fire in the pub, having a drink. We felt a bit rushed and it did slightly spoil our evening. Apart from that, staff were very accommodating and we really enjoyed our stay as did our dogs.

Huge recommendation from us... the place was lovely and the food great. The room was really nice as were the staff. One of our Schnauzers is a little 'loud' as he's still coming to terms with people (having been born in lockdown) and they were great with him - despite our embarrassment! Lymington is lovely too with lots of nice walks nearby... definitely should be on your travel list!

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Very limited food options. We only eat there one night because of this. Good breakfast.
Lovely hotel and lovely location. Right on Lymington harbour and nature reserve. Short walk to town. Staff were very friendly.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Re the above questions. The dog was largely ignored and the room very expensive but I guess that £220 B&B per night is the norm now.
Booked for two nights here and the location is perfect for boat lovers. Right on the marina but a short walk into town. Little through traffic so fairly quiet outside. We had the Aston Suite so had a living room area as well as a bathroom and bedroom. Ground floor and right by the exit though so the downside was the door was banged as people came in and out which set the dog off barking. Handy for early walks. The food was nice, we had a dinner booking accepted for 7pm on the Sunday night though and they then rang us to say the kitchen closed at 6 which was a shame. Dinner arrived cold but was reheated on request. Breakfast was ok but had to ask for toast and then butter as none was forthcoming. The staff Monday morning were much better and brought everything without issue. Spotlessly clean throughout. We would definately stay again.

Expensive for what we got. Room was very good but some issues overall. No provision made for gluten free request on booking - bar closed before 8pm - decor in bathroom flaking - a paper clip formed the wardrobe handle - no info pack in room - nothing at all provided for dog. Not good value for what I paid.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Special thanks to head of housekeeping who made Geoffrey our minpin comfortable
We took advantage of the 3 for 2 deal and even got an upgrade to a lovely big family room with a beautiful bathroom. The staff were warm and friendly and the breakfasts superbly cooked by their Spanish chef.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? There was nothing for our dog other than the fact that he was allowed to stay there. There wasn’t even a bowl for water.
If it hadn’t of been for the manager, I would not have given any stars, she was amazing. I just hope her manager appreciates what he has.
