We were so impressed with the young, friendly efficient staff. The decoration of the hotel and gardens was also welcoming. Set in a leafy, lovely village, the location to the beaches was perfect. Room size was generous, very clean and our breakfasts were served fast and freshly cooked. We will be back!

We took our Jack Russell cross with us for the weekend. The hotel is lovely and has ample parking, the food was excellent and the staff are very polite and super friendly. Our dog was made to feel very welcome and permitted in the bar and lounge areas. We opted to have dinner in the restaurant where dogs are not permitted and left him in the room for a couple of hours, but you can have dinner in the bar or lounge with the dog if you like. My only issue with the hotel is that our room did not have a Shower, only a bath with a shower attachment, it was not possible to stand in the bath and shower, only to sit, and taking a bath on a weekend break can be time consuming, we are a family of showerers. So if you book make sure you request a room with a Shower not bath. Otherwise I cannot fault the hotel it was truly lovely.

Rufus, my spaniel, loved the hotel. Other than the restaurant and the spa he could go anywhere and particularly useful to have the orchard at the back if needing a short walk before heading out. Well located for Rye with lots of walks in the Nature Reserves and all that the area has to offer in visitor attractions. The lady on reception was exceptionally helpful.
