Ourselves and three small dogs made very welcome. The girls definitely missed their sausage and bacon breakfast when we got home!

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Very expensive for what was on offer..
The first impression of the room was not great. 1 out of 3 radiators were working. The shower kept on overflowing into the hallway when in use. The bed was hard and a pillowcase badly stained. I would not rate the hotel as 5 star luxury more like a 3 star. The food was very good and our dog loved all the open space to run around. Needs a refurbishment. Would not return.

We had a wonderful stay here with 3 dogs in wet conditions! that says a lot for how they manage to be dog friendly while providing this is a truly luxury setting my only comment - and this is true of a number of this type and level of hotel we have stayed in, as we have to sit away from the proper restaurant we tend to get forgotten - i never did get my amuse-bouche when we ate a la carte!

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? It’s an impressive house but I think it is overpriced
Beautiful house with beautiful bedrooms - we stayed in the Oak Room with our dog. Staff all very friendly and food was very good in the bar although the food and drinks are very expensive. Ideal location with many great walks very close by.

We stayed at Lainston House for 1 night and it was the first time we went away overnight with our border terrier puppy, Benji, who is almost 6 months old. We brought his bed and crate with us but we did appreciate having a dog bowl and treats (made by Michel Roux!) dropped off at our suite. I would highly recommend the Garden room as a great puppy friendly option for those frequent toilet breaks as we had direct access to a lovely terrace which felt very spacious as it looked out onto the grounds. The room itself was finished to a high standard and spilt into a bedroom and living area. Top marks for the shower too! We had a fridge in the room to keep his raw food but do double check as not all the rooms have one. Alternatively, they were very happy to keep any food labelled in their fridges. Our breakfast was a bit underwhelming unfortunately but it was nice to be able to have it in the room where we could relax a bit more. For dinner, we would have liked to dine at their restaurant the Avenue, but we didn't feel comfortable leaving our puppy in the room so instead, we chose to make the very short walk to the local dog-friendly pub, the Plough Inn, which had a lovely warm atmosphere.
