Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? The room we felt was overpriced as the bed was small and there was no beverages or such in the room which is always welcome particularly in the morning. There was no one on site to serve breakfast at 0800 as advertised and because of this we were delayed by an hour for our departure. There was also no one to leave our keys with.
This pub was a great find for our overnight stop. There was a footpath into a field from the car park for the dogs to have a good run around and further footpaths and walks from the pub that you could take. There were treats at the bar and in the room for the dogs and a bowl for water and a lovely soft bed for them too. For us the room was perfect and very comfortable. The bed was a tad small so if you’re used to stretching out check on the measurements before you book. Unfortunately there was no coffee provided or milk but otherwise it was perfect. We would definitely recommend this for those of you that have dogs and need a room for the night.

This is an amazing, historic pub with very very good service. Sadly, there was absolutely nothing that would suggest we booked through Pets Pyjamas. While our dog was welcome - they had no provisions in the room or for dinner for our dog, which was rather disappointing. Furthermore, there was an overwhelming smell of damp from the bathroom in our room that forced us to open the windows and keep that door shut.

Lovely, quaint old pub, kept neat and tidy and was clean. As expected floor boards creak, rooms slope, and ceiling heights are very low. Room was comfortable, bathroom larger than expected. Breakfast was really well presented, and very tasty. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Service during the evening meal was slow, food was ok, but nothing special. The pub is dog friendly, but I would have liked to have had access to a dog shower, water bowls that had water in them, staff that liked dogs, more of a dog friendly room in terms of no carpet, location

We found the quality of the rooms and food excellent. As a dog friendly Inn, our dog was able to access our room and stay with us while dining. The beautiful beer garden was also lovely with far reaching views. Would definitely stay there again.

A warm welcome from very friendly staff! The room was a real pleasure to stay in. We'll equipped, lovely fluffy towels and gorgeous toiletries. Hot drinks and mineral water supplied too. The breakfast choice was excellent. We enjoyed the breakfast so much I asked to speak to the chef to thank him! Our dog Poppy was made most welcome too. This enabled us to relax and enjoy our stay, all the more. Nadine you and your staff are a real credit to The Anchor Inn. Thank you so much!

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Great for a reasonably priced overnight stay or to explore Hampshire.
We stayed at The Anchor Inn for one night as a stop over on our way to the Isle of Wight. It is less than an hour from the Anchor Inn to the port at Southampton where you can catch the red funnel boat to IoW. We needed dog friendly accomodation and The Anchor Inn was perfect for us, our puppy Lily was welcomed and enjoyed lots of attention from staff. We had dinner in the eve and the food was delicious, our breakfast the following morning was also fab. The room was spacious and quiet - we all had a comfortable nights sleep.

Very comfortable accommodation, plenty of room for ourselves and our Boxer dog. The staff made us feel very welcome and at home, delightful garden, plenty of parking. Would definitely go back if in the area. They were very busy with "locals" who were all so friendly and keen to tell of places to visit etc. also the best dog walks we felt part of the community instantly. A relaxing, enjoyable stay. Thank you Anchor.
