The hotel is situated in an ideal location for exploring the Mendip Hills, with great walks a few minutes by foot from the hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. The dog friendly room we were in was large and comfortable but could be improved with a bit more storage e.g chest of drawers?

We booked an overnight stay at this hotel, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was fine although the bathroom was small. The hotel has its own grounds, which is great for dogs to wander around and night toilet duties etc. We could take our dog into the bar for dinner and had the same menu as the restaurant, the menu had a good choice of dishes with the food itself being good. The same can be said for breakfast, good choice and our dog could be with us, he had his own sausage, which was a nice touch. Can recommend this hotel as very dog friendly, would stay again.

My human parents took the three of us to this lovely hotel.  The room was spacious and we were given lots of treats plus bed and bowl each.  We enjoyed sitting in the garden eating Doggy Ice Cream. Staff were so helpful and changed our room so my humans had less stairs to carry us up. The aroma in the restaurant was wonderful and the humans said it was delicious.  The pieces they gave us were yummy. We hope they take us back.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Dog friendly rooms are huge; paying for a upgrade to Superior was well worth it.
We first found Colwall by chance and couldn’t wait to return - bizarrely, it was even better this time? There is little to do in Colwall, as really just the hotel there, but a mainline station, literally at the bottom of the garden, makes exploring so much easier, even with the dogs? Last time Ledbury; this time Hereford. The numerous dog walks from the garden are an added bonus!! The Hotel is a delight - exceptionally well run by Matt and his super-efficient crew, the rooms are huge; the food good and the bar well stocked. The only down side is the uncomfortable chairs in the breakfast and bar rooms, but we were assure they were on the replacement agenda!!

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? The reason I called this a 'gem in the making' is because it is much in need of refurbishment throughout. A major plan is in place for the winter, and when this is complete it will be a really lovely hotel. I would stay there again.
The hotel is the most dog-friendly we have stayed in. Our old pooch was spoiled to bits. The customer service is excellent; the hotel is very clean and comfortable. The rooms at the front are noisy from passing traffic if the windows are open, but we were moved to a very big room at the side which was much quieter. The bar is well-stocked and you can eat in there with a dog, or in a separate dining room, or in the garden if fine. The menu is not huge but the food was well-cooked and tasty. The hotel is in a good location for visiting the area, with a station nearby to Hereford, Malvern and Worcester if you want to leave the car.

We stayed overnight with our dog, I have never known such a pet friendly hotel. The customer service and staff were delightful and very welcoming. The hotel and grounds were lovely although the decor was a bit tired in some areas. The food was very good and plenty of it, we had breakfast lunch and evening meal, even our fur baby had treats in the bar and also a sausage for breakfast. We had a lovely time and would recommend the hotel. I have been to many 5 star hotels and certainly not had the customer service that we received at Colwell Park.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? The staff were all amazing. We never once felt that we were an inconvenience. Some hotels dogs are allowed - some they are welcome - and we felt that we were all very welcome. Thank you
Our dogs, Mabel and Scout, recently spent 5 days at the Colwall Park Hotel. They only took us along with them, to carry their bags. Our room was really spacious, bearing in mind, she is a Newfie and he is a Lab. They ran into the room - and were like magnetics to the dishes which had been thoughtfully left out for them - or, more to the point, the treats inside!!!! We were all allowed to dine together in the morning (they appreciated their sausage) and in the evening. We were supplied with a walking pack - which was so helpful, as we were new to the area. It was great to return from a walk, and to be able to sit in the lovely garden (to recover) The staff were all amazing. We never felt once, that we were an inconvenience. Some hotels, dogs are allowed - some, they are welcome and we all felt very welcome. Thank you.
