“An outstanding hotel that is truly dog friendly. The staff are lovely and couldn't do enough for us and our dog. Our room had a bed, towel and treats for the dog. At breakfast, in the dining room, a blanket was brought out for the dog to lay on, along with a bowl of water and a choice of breakfast. We chose scrambled eggs for our dog, she was also offered, fruit, sausage and bacon. The hotel is a little expensive but as a treat is well worth the money. I can't wait to stay again.”

“The hotel have totally invested in making sure that taking your dog on holiday is a pleasure rather than a drawback. The boot room inclusive of doggy shower is fabulous. Bella, our yellow lab was like a ‘giddy kipper’ after her lovely warm shower!”

“We stayed for 3 nights in the garden pavilion which is a super sized room with private secure courtyard. There is also a separate dogs wash room when you come down from the hills in soggy weather - which we did. There is a separate dining room for guests with dogs although we couldn’t make use of because our boy would have just obsessed over food or other dogs or both! Really easy walk to lake Windermere and Ambleside town, with lots of walks in close proximity. The only downside was no room service on our first evening which for this type of hotel and cost was disappointing. Otherwise a great doggy location!”

“Lovely few days in the lakes. Rothay Manor puts dogs first and we loved having a room with a private garden. Great service and great location. Leaking shower in Kirkstone is dangerous.”

“I’m getting emails to review a trip that was cancelled due to the coronavirus. I received an email to say I would receive a refund, but two weeks later, nothing from PetsPyjamas other than the email asking me to review ‘my trip’ Money was taken from me months ago for a trip that didn’t take place and they are still holding onto my money despite me phoning and sending repeated emails. I have no income at the moment and would like someone to either refund me as promised or tell me when I will get my money back. Or at the very least a voucher that I can use with Rothay Manor hotel Think you”

“Harvey and I were treated to the utmost respect and attention. The attention to detail and innovation applied to the cuisine ensured that my stay was a unique gastronomic experience. The wonderful countryside in the vicinity of Rothay Manor provides the most energising and Scenic walks for both dog and owner.”
